No ring on swivel. Fishing a wafter. But of putty on hoolink. German style. Then yeah.

you want the ring left on here because you are using a soft boom section, only take the ring off when you use a stiff boom and are using crimps. but yeah i agree deffo would use a wafter or a crit balanced bait of some sort.

Yes, you can use a Ronnie with a solid bag, I tie mine slightly differently to yours in that the hook has more of a prone position to it rather than straight up like yours. I find this helps with hooking giving the hook a blow back effect upon a take

No. Don’t. I tried it and had 7 takes all dropped. A Ronnie rig is suited to a fish moving around and feeding not feeding on one spot. This just setup gives poor hook holds and foul bookings.

david williams deepest parts is the bottom of the lake (near the car park) probably goes 4-5ft up too the top of the lake 2-3ft, margins do really well and small sized bottom baits, hope it’s helped 👍🏻

WTF is the connection with s==t loud music and fishing ? Loads of you put it over the top of decent clips. I cant think of anything further removed from a peaceful sport than a synth keyboard. It might be me age , but I dont get it.
