The best way eh? I can mask and spray that in two minutes 😂
@RightWayInteriorpainting17 сағат бұрын
Well what I'm trying to teach here is proper application of the paint to utilize the brush strokes to create the groening of the bristle strokes with the latex to create a natural-looking door, I can throw a gallon of paint on there and not even mask it I can mask it and throw paint in a pump sprayer and pump it up and spray it on like that but I'm really trying to implement teaching proper brushstroke methods and I think that's important in this video but I appreciate that you can spray a door and tape it, I can also spray a door I don't even have to tape it and mask it I can just roll it with a 9 inch roller but proper brush strokes are important in painting in my opinion

@RightWayInteriorpainting obviously as a professional painter it is essential to know how to use a brush. If this was a textured 6pannel door you can brush it all day and get flawless results. However this is a flat door that in my opinion is completely ruined by brush marks. Been painting 22years.. so I can paint it any way you can imagine. I'd at least use a microfiber mini roller personally if I absolutely didn't want to get the best finish spraying it. Consistent stippling looks far cleaner than brush marks... even the best trim paints like emerald urethane enamel with is excellent self leveling properties doesn't leave behind a sprayed finish.

I’ve watched loads of these cutting in videos and, for me, it’s way easier to take time taping up. It makes the whole painting experience less stressful too as you’re not as worried about paint going somewhere you don’t want it to.
@RightWayInteriorpainting7 күн бұрын
Well considering the price of tape blue tape wouldn't work you would have to buy green tape I think 2-inch green tape is at 1499 a roll I was taught to learn how to freehand with painting with a paintbrush I do utilize tape once in awhile but never for taping trim or ceiling lines but everybody has their own preference I don't have enough patience to set tape up LOL 😂😆 I would get frustrated real quick thank you for your comment and thank you for your interest keep watching and learn more

Hi first thanks for the vidéos … i have 2 questions why do we need to start painting in the middle and not at the bottom for exemple ? And can i paint a wall without masking tape ? Thanks in advance
@RightWayInteriorpainting14 күн бұрын
After you dunk your roller if you start at the top there's going to be too much paint up there if you start at the bottom they'll be too much painter on the bottom and it could trip down on your baseboard I always start in the middle that spreads the paint evenly not too much paint at the top not too much paint at the bottom this method spreads the paint uniformly on the entire wall surface so when it dries you have a perfect finish and the second question is you don't necessarily have to use a mask but if the paint smell bothers you you could I normally use a fan while I'm painting to dry the surface more quickly you can utilize opening Windows when you paint thank you for your comment I truly do appreciate it and they're really good questions 💯

@RightWayInteriorpainting24 күн бұрын
Yes I was using a half inch roller nap good question thank you very much I appreciate it
@gianthills25 күн бұрын
why are you hiding the inside corner of the trim? obviously you don't want us to see all the paint you got on it. You are using the roller incorrectly. You should not be bending over. You have a long stick in your hand so you do not have to bend. you will also get hurt that way. You also do not roll in whatever direction you want. you have to keep to one direction. if you don't you will see flashing, which means you will see different patterns on the wall once it dries instead of a uniform appearance.

@RightWayInteriorpainting27 күн бұрын
Well there's many techniques the way I roll my walls you don't see any lines that's why you go back over your work lightly to blend everything in when the paint dries there's a nice teen with no imperfections this is my way and I find it to be the best way for equality finish I appreciate your comment keep watching learn more at DIY how to paint interiors the right way

@RightWayInteriorpainting25 күн бұрын
Precisely when you go up and down and blend over your work you're removing any imperfections in the roller nap and you're leaving no lines and the finished product comes out 100% better then rolling randomly side to side thank you for your comment I appreciate you watching learn more at DIY how to paint interiors the right way

Just one point about your technique, I always do the top panels and sides first, that way you don't stretch over any painted surface when painting the other ones.
@RightWayInteriorpaintingАй бұрын
Yes I used to do the top panels first when I first started painting, but then I learned I was sick of kneeling up and down going up and down up and down so once you start at the bottom panels and bring your side rails up by the time you stand up the bottom is already done and you don't have to keep kneeling down that's why I do it in reverse
@RightWayInteriorpaintingАй бұрын

How about some examples of bad technique and common mistakes and how to fix them when you make them? (Accidentally touch the ceiling with the roller, too much paint in your brush when cutting the baseboard to the floor, paint drop gets on the floor, washing brush)
