10 Years down the road and it Still chaps my ass that he doesn't have a cover / cap for the plug on his truck. Nothing like poor maintenance. Covering the plug keeps it clean and corrosion free ( as If i had to tell him ). But to drop an electrical cord in the snow...bordering on criminal. Screw a screw into the door frame at waist height, keeps plug out of the snow and you don't have to bend over to pick it up. Hell, even a nail driven in and bent over would work. ☆

Do yourself a favor, plug it in go inside have a coffee, just cause it can start doesn't mean you should start it.

I left my 2015 fiesta ecoboost at a shop for 3 weeks one time, it was sitting out front with at least 5" of snow on top of it. cleared it off with a broom and it popped right over no problem. (yes I know gasoline engines are easier to start when its cold)

It looked like there was snow on the floor mat when he opened the door. It got down to 11 degrees here in Houston, February 14, 2021. I have a 2016 RAM Laramie (Gas). I pressed the remote start and it started. Man, did it sound strange. I turned it right off. Everyone lost power but us. We have a Generac whole house generator that came on and ran for several days until the power came back on. Now everyone in Texas is trying to get a generator installed.
