According to my knowledge no, you should need net set…bcoz m.tech with b.tech is only allowed without net set to apply directly for assistant professor. I suggest you to take another opinion from others

You have done your MTech based on mca not based in btech . I think you need net for sure and I suggest you to go for another opinion from mca prof or mca expert
