Did this to myself and I have really long hair. Definitely had to go back in and touch some teeny things up a couple of times, but it turned out wonderful!!! I’m thrilled. Wished I used permanent on the lowest color. I don’t want it to fade!! It looks perfect right now!!

I did this on myself and really loved the results. I didn't bleach my hair because it was already light. I applied paul Mitchell's flash toner in blue and violet on the previously lightened hair and ion 5n demi permanent on the roots and dark sections. It turned out really great! Thank you!

Did this last week at home and turned out so well! Almost looks like I went to the salon 😉. I have been doing my own hair for the past year and this is by far the easiest technique with the best results i have found! Thank you so much for sharing!!

Will this work on uncolored/virgin hair? Can I do it with just my natural brown to add balayage?

I’ve seen many hair stylists tease the hair backs. Can I ask what that does?
@Annoyed_Human2 ай бұрын
It prevents the color from being too harsh. A hard, block of color. It isn't as blended, basically.

Could this technique be used on a blonde to go this colour without using bleach on the highlight sections and only using a toner?

Getting ready to do this on my daughters hair. If I do a full highlight instead of teasing would it have the same look? Since she doesn't have highlights already.

I LOVE this. So my hair has always been short/medium length, (not by choice, genetics) and I have never considered baylage or anything like this would work on my hair which hits around my collar bone but is usually trimmmed shorter. What are your thoughts ?

I have the hair dye on my head as I’m commenting … IM SCARED LOOOL . Because I did it by myself . It took me almost two hours to section … I just decided to split the entire back in half cause I can’t see anything . So I’m assuming …. It’s going to be darker in the back because I’m pulling it to the side . I’ll comment back in a hour after I wash it out 😂
