Eteri Andjaparidze plays this Sonata in G, K 427, even faster than in this video!
@TERRYBIGGENDEN4 күн бұрын
This is actually too fast for me. There are strong melodic lines that must not be rushed-the music needs to 'breath'r, even if at presto.

Thank you for this! The composer beyond his time: Scarlatti - needs a modern audience! To think he played a harpsichord and never dreamed how great his music would sound on a modern piano!!!

I think if you re-edit and add piano clip at bottom showing particular note in D Maj, it would be more appealing to rapidly increase new audience. Also position board in front dark wall more focused at board, it would be more effective. Nice effort👏🏿. Keep it up.

Yuja Wang does it, with full repeaats, in about 2'08" (the video of 2'19" includes her sitting down and a moment after she stops). I don't think she's AI, since she's a perfectly decent pianist when not shamelessly showing off her astonishing technique. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHmXoIahfM1sq9k

Weeeeell at least the text was relevant. So sick and tired of all those “as you can clearly see, this person has played for a long time… the technique is simply awesome… if you look closely, each key produce a specific sound… a true master at work…”.

I started thinking how unreal the hands looked after you said "look closely," so when you said they are, in fact, AI, it confirmed my disappointment. Is the speed AI, too? Fake hands playing a notoriously fast and difficult piece without a single mistake... This would have been astonishing and wonderful played by a human. As it is... extremely disappointing. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
@kisha_music2 ай бұрын
@@DalokiMauvais the interpretation (dynamics) is designed by human. Execution is AI. Yes, piano virtusoso technique is not as impressive as it once was. Perhaps the gold lies in reharmonisation, clever arrangement, etc.

@strayofff2 ай бұрын
@@maxf.219 A lot of Scarlatti sounds better on the harpsichord. It's brighter and crisper and we wouldn't have those heavy clomping notes in the bass.
@maxf.2192 ай бұрын
@@strayofffI mean even so, it’s still played on a piano because that’s what they had. I’m just saying it’s more about the pianists having fun when it comes to pieces like this
@Maisiewuppp2 ай бұрын
@@strayofffThe base notes provide the perfect balance to the piece. I doubt Scarlatti would have given a hoot but would have been thrilled to hear his music played three hundred years later on a totally new instrument. It’s the music that lives on, the instrument is irrelevant.

Not sure if the meme-ification and/or constant visual details of describing each little thing that happens (sort of going for a walk in the countryside and stopping at every flower) enhances music appreciation. If it becomes a vehicle to know music and then listen to it and enjoy it the way is supposed to be, getting the big picture and having a personal meaning to the listener, then is not bad. But people should understand that this is not something to be spoonfed, but rather born out of their genuine connection to a piece.
