Hey Obi Ski TV, Those sunglasses your wearing, How well do they withstand the banging around on your face when hitting waves. I have cracked probably 12 pairs of cheap to expensive sunglasses due to the jaring of hitting waves on my jetski. Those that your wearing look very durable. What brand are they?

Great video! How long would it take approx. to get to the island from Centennial park? is it better to go via the intracoastal path, or through the open ocean?

I took the gulf down and got there in about 20-25 mins. However it was pretty calm. If it’s choppy I suggest the intracoastal but I think that takes about an hour or so….

Good content & glad to see you back out there! As new boaters in the Tampa area, we enjoy Egmont & Anlcote Key! Both provide their very own unique features but we always have a great time going to both. We went out to Anclote Key after Helene but couldn't get in the water due to sewage spill. But we are heading out to Bunces Pass tomorrow. Glad to see Fort Desoto open and the water looking great! Can't wait to jump in!

I hope the two hurricanes hasnt damaged the beaches and park too badly... i assume you filmed this before the storms. I am east coast, and was in Bradenton last weekend helping the community with recovery. Sad state of affairs there. But we enjoy Sebastain State Park camp area with family. Can't beach the skis, and beach isnt great, but convenient place to ride and pull up and switch riders. We love the whole west coast area and will try Ft Desoto when all is clear and good.

Hey brother. I did film this before the hurricane so I’m hoping, like you, it hasn’t been hurt too bad. I haven’t heard much about it being damaged so I’m thinking it might have done ok. I’ll be out there shortly so I’ll see how it did.

Not sure how the weight will affect it if any. I know riders who have emergency reserve tanks in the front compartment. I think it may be more important to make sure it’s tight and secure so it doesn’t move around. Just my 2 cents.

When flushing the engine, DON'T rinse after the SaltAway. Rinse it good before the SaltAway, then run the SaltAway until you get good foaming action, then turn the water off. Rev the engine to clear excess water from the exhaust system. The idea is to leave some of the solution inside the cooling system to provide protection during storage.

You can still leave it as it only helps keep the salt deposits away. Now if you’re def riding the next day, it’s not a must to use it. I say that because I have gone on trips where I ride multiple days in a row, in salt water. I flush it with water, however I use the detergent (Salty Captain is my favorite) once the last day is finished….. Staying near St Pete beach is perfect. You can take off from Ft DeSoto boat ramp and you’re there in a couple mins

I’m thinking of buying my first jet ski. I plan to get a 2025 Sea Doo Explorer. Do I need a specific trailer for the Explorer? Do you know if Sea-Doo makes their own trailers? Or is there a brand I should go with which is popular, reliable, and/or affordable?

You don't need a specific trailer for any PWC. There are popular brands like Continental and Triton as well. If you purchase the Sea Doo at a dealer, they will usually sell you the trailer that works best for the ski.
