I've tried the Velvet Oud and can testify for your review. It is EXTREMELY close to the Ombre Leather. This is a very potent leather focused perfume that has a lasting aroma. Love it!

I bought it recently "blind" because the description looked interesting. They had no way to test first there. Once outside I tried it and was disappointed. It reminded me of a cheap EDT with lots of cardamom. It smelled a bit "Indian" I thought but even then in a cheap synthetic way. Now ten days later, I like it when it has dried down and soft, rounded, sweet, spicy notes are more prominent. I seem to smell something now also present in the original Joop. Those liking oriental perfumes like Jaipur will like it. Me, I am no longer thinking it was a mistake but I still certainly don't recommend this as blind buy.

first time I smelled this was at my buddies house. Saw this and Burberry touch in his bathroom. To this day polo sport blue is a top 10 scent to me. I’m trying to find out what the notes r and compare scents so I can find similar ones. I’m new to all this and have trouble understanding the notes and brands n such

Velvet Oud by Lattafa is a better offering for the price point. It lasts longer, keeps warmer when sprayed directly on skin. Toscano Leather on the other hand is a little less lasting in comparison. The base notes are not that accentualized.

I compared Velvet Oud, Tuscan Leather, Ombre Leather and Amber and Leather and I like them all. I think Amber and Leather is closest to Ombre Leather as is intended to be a clone. Velvet Oud is similar, but it is more like a version of Ombre Leather and I like it alot. Velvet Oud as a stand alone product is a very good fragrance.
