100 years on (nearly) and the us military is still using those trash canopies when parachute technology has advanced to exponentially better performance and safety. The countless number of people that senselessly had their careers and lives ruined due to those canopies, broken backs, compound fractures.. trillions spent and for some reason the us military cant afford or is too ignorant to advance to a proper 9 cell canopy with proper flight function and control... no control, hard landings for what?
