This video was extremely informative and realistic, I appreciate how you depicted a day in Maine & the difference between Kennebunkport and Kennebunk. Also… is it “Kenny” or “Kenneh”? 😅🤷🏼♀️ Can you list some restaurants/dessert/cafes in a comment? thanks in advance!

TY. I say Kenny. In Arundel is one of my favorites called Bandaloop. The Lost Fire is also something worth checking out. Allisons and the Boathouse are great. In Kennebunk there is a little Italian cafe called Bev's which makes a nice sandwich. Barbara Bush allegedly got her clams at the Clam Shack on the bridge on the Kennebunk side. Federal jacks and Batson Brewery are worth a stop in too.

I'm coming to Portland tomorrow, just found your channel! I'm spending a day with friends and a couple days to myself. Where do I go for the best seafood? Where is the best beach?

Fancy seafood, Scales. Eventide or High Roller for lobster rolls. For fried I like the Porthole. Chowder go to Gilberts. All these are in the Old Port of Portland. Bite of Maine food truck at Portland Head Light is good for lobster rolls too. Best beach which public and easy, Old Orchard Beach or Ogunquit beach. York beach is great too but a bit further south.

@@anonconspicuous6910 if you like weird things with cool stories it’s a good way to spend a few hours. The Portland museum of arts is also good. Lots of breweries if you like beer. Boat tours in the harbor, go to Peaks Island for an afternoon.

@@ExploreNHLife About to tuck into a High Roller I saved for dinner. Went to Allagash and the industrial district breweries during the day, grabbed a few lobster rolls and lobster BLT from the "Bite of Maine" food truck at Allagash. Perfect with the Wild Saison ales and blueberry wine. Checked out the Cabelas, which has a great outdoor selection at outrageous prices. Then walked off the beer and butter along the north peninsula. There are a lot of cool little trails and antique trains up there!

Not sure in the umbrella rentals. Decent beaches but I prefer OOB or Ogunquit for popular or Fortune Rocks for quiet.

Nice little tour of York! We love it there, especially in the slow season. Stayed at Union Bluff many times and watched the sunrise on Short Sands Beach 🙂⛱️

So aerials aren't part of town? Nor are the shops which are the biggest attraction. Neither is a great store off the beaten path. Neither is the Maine Beer Company which is one of the top breweries in Maine. I'll try to do better next time for your pleasure.

The house you said was the Governors house is not the Governors house. That house is called the Governor Hill House. Hill was a Governor of Maine at one time. He had that house built for himself after he was Governor. He was going to leave the house to that State of Maine to be used as the Governors official residence. But the Blaine House which is right across the street from the State House was given to the state to be used as the Governors residence. The Hill House had been used by the Franciscan Friers and is now used as an events venue and some office space.

Bland
