No more chirp, chirp, chirp noise when accelerating. I have a 2017 Polaris Ranger 900 XP with around 6000 miles on it. I installed a new Polaris belt around 1500 miles ago and it had a slight chirping noise at first and then it eventually got a lot worse. I was hoping that my clutch wasn’t in need of some work. It just chirped and it never felt like it was slipping. A friend of mine told me that his Polaris used to do the same thing and that’s when he decided to try a Hunterworks belt. He said his chirping went away and that he loves the Hunterworks belt. So, I bought one and installed it and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve already put on over 300 miles and not one chirp sound. I highly recommend the Hunterworks belt. It’s a 10-star belt to me!!!

Say my machine 20 mav sport xmr with factory lower gearing vs other mav sport models has 30” tires factory and I want to bump to 35” tires that’s a 15% increase in tire size wouldn’t 15% portals make my machine ride like factory? Genuine question
@Hunterworks5 күн бұрын
That is a tough one, I am not sure if that would be quite enough but 30 might be too much. keep in mind portals do best for slower riding, i am not a fan of high speed with portals, not much oil and being able to keep it cool in the portals is tough

So I just replaced my belt om my 2018 Ranger XP 1000. Reason I did was because of misfire code it gave me along with check engine light. Once I replaced the belt, the check engine light disappeared, bike runs great. And this was after driving bike in low a couple hundred yards. So, after watching this video, you said loading bike on trailer without using ramps can cause belt wear. I have a car hauler with dove tail, so I would put bike in low along with 4 wheel drive to load. So that is a no no? I'm assuming its ok to offload without ramps? Thanks for the video!!!!
@Hunterworks9 күн бұрын
Yeah, I would never do that, I am afraid your engine codes gone is for a short time, when the belt wears in a bit I think it will return. On the ramps, do not ease up them either, just back up, line up and go
@josephdimaggio289 күн бұрын
Code wasn’t for cylinder 1 or 2. From what I read, once belt needs replacement ecu gives code as a misfire, but it’s very general.
@Hunterworks8 күн бұрын

The high RPM setup of the new gen2 xp motor machines erases any trust I had in the machines. There's no reason a RZR has to wind out like a teryx engine screaming for help. And now with the xpedition, its an uncomfortable noise to put up with the whole trip that would reverberate though the whole cabin. I spend most of my riding between 40 and 50mph and would be annoyed at hearing an engine scream that high towards its own eventual early death. They should have made the gen2 xp engine more powerful at lower RPMs instead of relying on winding it out for power.

I have a 22 northstar ultimate street legal and it has bad noise at around 30 mph, it has 35 inch tires and a 2 door enclosed cab, when we crack the windows that helps a little, but when I floor it from a stop it gets to 60 within 15 seconds or less, so it is stock but I would love to make it a little quieter. Maybe putting in a 2000 watt system would help lol 😅
