Kind of funny h9w it's the narrator who's confused and the bumbling looking strong man who has to teach him Geography 101.

Agreed that it is early on in the 1970s and before The Walt Disney Story. Note that the short view from the Monorail toward Magic Kingdom shows a Tomorrowland that not only has no Carousel of Progress or People Mover/Tower, but it hasn't even begun construction. Bunting is on Main Street so we are probably into summer around the 4th of July. You have a full size fife & drum corps, which is how the park started, but faced attrition over the first decade until it was moved to Epcot. The parade itself is how things went until America on Parade in 1975. Also mentioned before me by epaddon is that The Walt Disney Story opened n 1973, but it was April of that year if I remember, meaning that with the summer patriotic bunting, the sign should have been up. I would say it was the summer of 1972.

I was gonna comment, "It doesn't get more early 00's than Shaggy performing outside of the 'new' Rock n Rollercoaster," but then I kept watching and realized that nothing has ever been more early 00s than this entire video

Lookit that queue for the Haunted Mansion... and nobody complained. I can hear the wolves howling as the riverboat rounded the bend past the old Gracey Mansion. Happy memories !

I love the simplicity of the parade. No glitz, no gimmicks...just the characters and a few bands.

I'm pretty sure that has be no later than 1973 because Town Hall only has the "Gulf Hospitality House" sign and is not listing the "Walt Disney Story" which opened in 73.

It doesn't matter the quality of the film or how different the characters looked years ago. It never gets old seeing Disney World. Thank you for the great work you do and sharing!

In some ways, at times, I wish WDW could get back there, closer to how it had been. Like a lot of new things, but miss many old ones. Loved those Tomorrowland entry fountains. (PS: Didn't forget Swan Boats. Miss those, too.) :)

The video is a remarkable time capsule. The 88mm film from 1978 offers an extraordinary glimpse into the Magic Kingdom's early days. The [quality of the footage, e.g., vibrant colors, sharp details, or nostalgic grain] is astonishing considering its age. It's as if I've been transported back to the park's golden era, experiencing the magic through the eyes of a time traveler.

It’s amazing to think that 35 years later one of the people who worked on this attraction ended up being the executive producer of the highest grossing animated film of all time. This attraction is practically the original Inside Out 1 & 2.

I doesn't feel right to call this Home Movie a Home Movie. Whoever was the camera operator did a fantastic job framing up still shots that displayed the Magic Kingdom. Great work restoring this! Amazing job! Love the footage of Peoplemover. Wow

No earlier than 1975 with the PeopleMover in place. That is the most extensive early PeopleMover ride footage that's ever surfaced!

Disney will never make another attraction like this. Everything nowadays has to be tied to an IP franchise.

Must be '72-'73 judging by the sparse foliage growth on the Jungle Cruise and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party sans canopy. I can still hear the CNG engines on the 20K subs purring and I can still smell the unusual CNG exhaust. It appears that Fort Sam Clemens has yet to be built on Tom Sawyer Island and the trees around the Haunted Mansion are relatively newly planted.
