I recently learned about Laurie Baker and his design philosophy. On searching about him I landed here, the trailer left me intrigued. I am wondering what could be the reason for not releasing this video to the public. I wish to see this film someday.

Its very sad to know and find out how the authority doesn't care even a bit about how, some of these iconic buildings get treated. These are legacies left behind by some great men and women who cared about their work to public. (The Indian coffee house designed by Ar. Baker, cannot have hoardings and giant name boards covering it. and these tiny makeshift shops built around it. Buildings of this sort must be preserved and celebrated, to teach ordinary people like you and me, the importance of beauty. And building such monuments doesn't have to have great deal of money attached to it.)

Inspiring ❤️Baker... Its eye opener for first generation guy who build his own house ... I wanted to build my own compact house in my native Ramanathapuram(dry and poor area,) which is dream of my parents . Any architect available to build a new house in bakers ways.. by new design and in low-cost..

I got to see the film during on the screenings in Australia. Loved it! For those asking about the choice of music in the trailer, its because Baker loved western classical music and loved this one especially. I remember seeing a deck of old tapes in his bedroom/office when I met him briefly along with a group of other architects in the 1990s at his home in Kerala. Wish I could have spent more time.

no offence but your choice of music doesn't exactly help convey a man who practised an austere form of architecture. it's nicely shot but the soundtrack is more befitting of parisian boulevards than keralan backwaters

Well you obviously don't know that Baker loved western classical music and this was one of his favourite pieces. I have met him a few times in the late 1990s. So thought yes he loved India, its culture and traditions, this music totally makes sense. People are not one-dimensional you know.
