That was just awesome! It is my hope that one day I can not only replicate your skill, precision and effortlessness when playing the Classical Guitar, but capture your emotion and passion as well. Classical guitar which is my favorite musical instrument, is still a bit far off for me as I decided to take the easier gateway path of the Tenor and Baritone ukulele and plan to graduate to the Classical Guitar when I have built a proper comfort level, foundation and skillset. I tried the Classical guitar prior to the Uke, and as a total beginner without a proper teacher, I felt I had bitten off more than I could chew. The Uke is just my speed and it's getting me to the place I want to be.

Thanks so much! In my experience in teaching students crossing over from the Ukulele to the guitar, there’s quite a good deal of transferable skills, so I’m sure this will help. It’s also a brilliant instrument in its own regard. I’m particularly fond of Jake Shimabukuro’s playing.

Superb arrangement and delivery. I simply can't understand why such Renbournian videos (incl. those by Clive Caroll etc.) don't get millions of views. To me they simply incorporate the very best features from the best styles of music in a completely natural and coherent manner.

Thanks so much Jimmy. I’m glad you liked it! Yes I agree, Clive’s videos don’t receive a fraction of the attention that they should.

Beautiful! 🙂What strings do you use? I haven't settled on a particular set yet... I'm testing, looking for the one I like best. But one thing's for sure: with the 50mm neck, I wouldn't put too thick strings on it...

Hey man, that was so nice. I used to play Nirvana and and stuff when I was a teenager but haven't touched a guitar in 20 years. DO you think I can learn this song as my first fingerstyle song or is it too hard?

got your tabs...I did a version of Morrison's with DADGAD . I can see it might be a little easier in drop D. Really like your arranging and playing. I've done about 18 celtic arrangements now, all in DADGAD. My favorite is Mist Covered Mountain (the simple fiddle tune, not the Renbourn version)

hey man. it’s really cool what you’re playing. to me it seems like you rushed through the playing and left out alot of the depth of magic and emotion the song can convey, but it’s really cool to see / hear it played on guitar. im interested to know how you came to playing this, like your process of learning it. specifically those few chords played at 1:41 are really cool and fit so well. i know this is just a comment on a video from an unknown person, but i saw you’re giving lessons and such. i’d like to talk more / learn more about that; your pursuit with teaching playing music as a source of income. let’s get in touch and talk. i’m very interested in both of those two things 😅 and i believe we could help each other out.

Your fingering and progression are so spot on you make an inspired and complicated arrangment seem effortless. You made it 'flow' which all lullabies should sound like. Just the arrangement i was looking for. Brilliant man

Hello, What is the object you have on your guitar ?
@luketedmusic2256
@luketedmusic2256 Жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, Thanks for your comment! If you are referring to the object inside the soundhole of the guitar, this is the microphone for my K&K Trinity pickup. It’s a small mic on a gooseneck that can be positioned inside the guitar to adjust its tone. This is then blended in with the K&K soundboard transducers to create a more realistic amplified guitar tone. The other object you might be referring to is the capo. This is essentially a clamp that presses the strings and raises the pitch of the guitar. Hope this helps!

Difference between C9 and C10 in Cordoba guitars, please? I'm looking a guitar to play bossa nova. Which one is the best choice? Spruce or Cedar?
@luketedmusic2256
@luketedmusic2256 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Edward! I haven’t had a chance to play the C10 model, but from what I learned when researching the guitars the C9 seems to have a warmer tone due to the cedar top, and the spruce C10 a brighter tone with a little more projection. I’m sure both would be excellent choices for whatever you’re looking to play. I’ve been very happy with my C9 and I would highly recommend it. I believe Josh Turner (one of my favourite guitarists) plays a C10, and he gets an absolutely stunning tone out of his, so it might be worth checking out some of his videos. I hope this helps!

The difference between the cordoba C9 and C10 parlor? I'm looking a guitar to play bossa nova . Is this a good choice?
@SmellsYemmy77
@SmellsYemmy77 2 жыл бұрын
Full size is for bigger folks and parlor size ix for smaller folks but depends on what youre used to, I own a C9 Full size since im a taller fella, C9 Cedar is best for warmer sound, and C10 Spruce for Brighter tones. If you have enough for the big sister C12, Cedar would be a solid choice, Spruce is good too, but C9 Cedar sounds better than C12 cedar and my wallet isnt screaming
