Got to see them open for Def Leppard in Johnson City,TN. 1988. Their debut record,on the Hysteria record for Def Leppard. Was a great show! Held their own against Def Leppard tho! Frankie had his hair tucked up under a baseball cap,and when he flew it off,his hair was Soo long,it resembled a woman on lead guitar! They kicked ass!

Sorry, but the guy in the middle should have gave his vote and then let the other two carry the rest of the show. He sounded like a 12 year old and obviously was ill informed to speak about the Beatles. Cool, he votes Stones, but I don't believe for a minute that he has listened to all or even most of the Beatles' catalogue. He didn't come across as anyone who should be leading a discussion on much of anything, let alone having a good grasp of a real knowledge of music. I'm trying to write an unbiased piece comparing and contrasting the two bands, as well as looking at the passionate debate between fans and critics. This was one of the worst debates I've found so far, the other two guys at least had a grasp on both bands. Just my opinion of course.

When I hear "Paint it Black" and "Gimmie Shelter" I hear songs that stand the test of time that could be hits today. I remember the first time I ever heard Paint it Black in the late 80's as a kid having no clue who it even was by on Tour of Duty (TV show) and thinking it was awesome. No Beatles song has ever captured me like that where I could listen to it over and over. Beyond that the Stones just seemed to have more character on stage performance and vocally as well that makes them more compelling to me. Sure the Beatles were revolutionary in their time no doubt and laid the foundation the Stones probably walked on but I'll put it like this if they were both just starting today as young unknowns with their same songs and style I think the Stones would have a better chance of making it with this generation and being relevant today or even in my generation and that says a lot considering they wrote those same songs and crafted their performances in the same period.

I could hypothetically put myself in right in the middle of each and every concert ever played and would STILL consider my favorite band would be TESLA. STILL KICKIN ASS....!!!!. The music is uplifting and meaningful in any and every way possible. Has brought me to tears and has been a fantastic motivational ride and I never want to get off, because I'm sure that is one wagon I will not fall off...... Keep it up guys!!!!

I worked at a Rock club called Shire Road Pub in Citrus Hieghts CA. back in the 1980's as a Doorman / Bouncer. City Kid played there and I remember helping them carry thier equiptment out to thier van after the gig. They got very popular and attracted attention from a major label, The label told them if they'd change thier name they'd get a contract. We now know that little City Kid band as TESLA. ... It's good to see these Cat's from my hometown make it Big. TESLA & I are still kickin Ass and the rest is history!

I wanna smack that dude in the middle! lol Sgt. Peppers album is crap?? Dear god boy! I am the Walrus or as you call it .." koo koo kachoo" first of all is a groundbreaking song by Mr Lennon and the Beatles but secondly is not even a track that was on the Sgt Pepper album. That song appeared on The Beatles film soundtrack album Magical Mystery Tour.
@Dargone0077 жыл бұрын
And when they point that fact out to him his response is "whatever." Hard to score points in a debate when your main point is wrong (main point in regards to the Sgt. Peppers album). I felt he was a horrible advocate for the Stones in this debate. People just like The Beatles because they are The Beatles?!? Comparing 'Tumbling Dice' to 'I am the Walrus'. In my experience, people tend to rebel against things that are popular and how about comparing 'A Day in the Life' to 'The Lantern'. It's a great debate and I adore both bands; however, I wish the gentleman representing the Stones had been a bit more prepared.

@TheRockOfficeChannel10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your opinion. One could argue that Led Zep deserves to be on that list. However, does the world really need a 27 minute long version of "Dazed and Confused?" I think not. At least Jay Z had the decency to keep most of his songs at a resonable length. Thanks for watching. Keep those comments coming!

Good interview. Adam is a charmer. Although I'm confused why you focused your interview so much on older material. Hearing insight on the tracks from Somewhere Under Wonderland would have been interesting. Fine job nonetheless. I would have been a nervous wreck talking to Adam. You held yourself and thoughts together quite well.

Thanks Jason! We're glad you enjoyed the interview. We didn't focus too much on SUW because he has been doing a lot of press on it lately and did't want to come off sounding redundant. Counting Crows is my favorite band, and I approached it from that perspective. Completely selfish I know, but I figured now is my chance to ask him some things I've been wondering for a while.
