Your first blocks are the Dresden pattern. Appliqué them onto a larger block make a quilt

Nice modern twist on an ancient art form. Very tough to sew; a thimble would help. You stuck to it! Great Job! (They have Sashinko thimbles)

I just discovered sashiko so have watched dozens of videos in the last couple of weeks. You are the first one using the mini plyers. What a great idea in a pinch. And the tee shirt looks amazing as a patch.
