Hi! 👋 I'm DJ FE:MEL and this is my vodcast, 'FE:MEL energy', a platform designed to celebrate women in electronic music. I am a Hard Techno DJ and novice producer, as well as a queer woman trying to navigate the music industry to the best of my abilities.

I decided to create this channel to share with you my experiences as a woman in music, as well as bring you a new guest every month to discuss various topics and play some tunes. This is for the women, the queer community and true allies, but everyone is welcome to join the celebration! 🔥

Each month, my guests and I explore various topics ranging from the rave culture, tips to making it in music as a woman or queer person, etc. We also jam to various music genres. Each guest brings their own sound identity by way of sick tunes.

What a brilliant interview. Been to a couple of 8TIMES8 raves and absolutely love them. Been listening to Lau.tastic for a couple of years after finding her through one of my music finding 🍄 journeys. Great points about women in the industry, and the sexualisation of women too. I’m old enough to remember there being absolutely NO women as DJ’s whatsoever. My generation are still struggling with female artists full stop, that’s why we love going to see up and coming artists with real passion for the music. Not to look cool, beautiful or be seen. Great stuff.
