I was at Bard and saw Linh Nguyen playing Astor Piazzolla with visiting musicians during one of Chungin's tango events. I did not know Linh; I did not even know her name, but I remember her presence. A light. A breeze. A flower. This beautiful expression of love, in her honor, has touched me deeply. With gratitude to all the Bard students and teachers and the parents and relatives of Linh -- for allowing me to join you in honoring her life. Love Always, Ellen Chrystal

This evening, I attended a staging of this opera at Detroit Opera. The background of the scenery was all animated. This staging is far superior to what I saw.
