@3:28 that’s not showing up for me on my computer 😢

I thought of something interesting. You could make base voxels of 25cm³, as it is an excellent size for measurements closer to the real scale (walls, seats and utensils), without weighing down the load and without the game becoming so jagged / grainy with voxels. Based on the 25cm³ voxels you can place more specific reliefs and it would make it easier for the player to decompose it into smaller voxels or even do like the "nocubes" mod, forming polygonals on the base voxel structure, to make the scenes more organic and without steps. So that the scenery doesn't have very repetitive textures, in this case, you could apply different rotations and mirrors to the block's texture.

Well, what about LOD? You must be speaking of the closest lod level. Right now in this demo the closest chunks are 64x64x64 voxels. They can potentially be 128x128x128 but i haven't experimented with that yet.

@@ghosttogether , Unfortunately, I don't know enough about LOD, I'm from the area of surveying engineering, which studies measurements and projections that are closer to the real ones... 😅 But in my comment I tried to point out a model between the "voxel size" of Minecraft (with a scale similar to 1m³, with a very cubic shape) and that of Tooley's game (with a scale similar to 10 cm³, with a very serrated shape).

I cant understand the size of the voxels because dont have trees or grass.
@ghosttogetherКүн бұрын
In an odd way, the perception of the size of voxels is an optical illusion. If i get closer to the ground it starts looking like minecraft. So it's both a technical issue but also an optical illusion...and to get it just right you have to balance between the two. Also LOD renders multiple voxels as 1 voxels in the distance...distorting normal interpretation of perspective and size.

How did you get your Color workspace to neatly fit jut one tool into the bottom bar? I can't get rid of the left half of the Color tools, leaving my tracking keyframe window smooshed up on the right side of my screen. The first six Color tools take up the entire left third of the bottom. Then the next ten Color tools take up the middle chunk. Last, my keyframes, scope and info tools are left with only 20% of the screen.

8:10 perhaps you should have informed as to how to sync the local working area with the current file in the repo vs create a merge conflict with little explanation about merge conflicts..
