Im not sure what kind of shark that was but having caught a juvenile white shark i can confirm that that definitely wasnt one.

Yes Gerald we have asked for an official identification, some have said it was a school shark, but we havent had a positive ID as a schooly. It was only about 1.3 meters long which according to stats would have been just born. Stand by as we are correct Id coming soon.

Nice trip without your GPS working. It would be great to get some tips and see screenshots of the lumps you look for before fishing a spot

Omg squid jig colours don’t do a thing there colour blind coloured squid jigs are one of the biggest fishing scams ever
@willshunting3 ай бұрын
Ummm ...... seems no one's told the squid that. I have regularly fished for squid for over 30 years and have experimented many times using different colours at the same time, on same line type, same breaking strain, at the same depth and in clear water, watched 2 or 3 squid rush to one colour, actually passing by a different one. Yes, their eyes are tuned to a different band of the spectrum, but they certainly perceive colour difference in their own way. So unless the squiddlies in your area are unique, I have to respectfully reply that you are just plain incorrect. Moreover, I have proven many times that jigs containing rattles regularly outfish those that don't have the beads in them. I post this not to challenge/upset you, but rather to help any interested newbies to chasing squid reading this, who might be wondering what the actual 'go ' is.

Colour blind doesnt mean you only see black or white. Colours come up as different shades of grey, some shades brighter than others.

we know some pros over there that swear by the old qantas colour redhead or king george colour squid jigs. In theory that method should work very well, keeping your jigs at the right depth every time. We still love the old cast and retrieve and feeling their strikes through the line. Well done guys.
