As a certified meditation teacher, I just want to say that this was a fantastic meditation. The ads added a unique layer to the experience, and I’m sorry others see them as inconveniences. This meditation is about accepting all phenomena as they arise, ads included, haha! I loved it! It was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much! 🙌

Most people wouldn’t last half an hour alone in a room without stimulation like the contents of the internet. I have a nephew who I love very much who has always struggled with his temper. I think meditation or mindfulness would help him greatly, so I suggested the buddify App to introduce him to basic mindfulness for beginners. One week later I asked him how things were going with the app to which he replied ‘I can’t do that, I haven’t got the patience to sit and meditate’! … now there are guided meditations on that app which last 5 (FIVE) minutes..when I mentioned those, he just shrugged his shoulders and said ‘I can’t do it’ . He has convinced himself that he cannot sit still for 5 minutes. It takes me almost 5 minutes to settle into my meditations. He’s 39 years old and if he doesn’t start taking control of his mind (his temper) he will have a miserable life, never knowing himself or coming to terms with the absence of Self.

Great vid. Definitely one of the best introductions to zazen. Explained clearly with a good narration. And I like the analogy of the mind being like a monkey on steroids. That is perfect. People seem to think a goal of meditation is to still the mind, whereas anyone who has meditated knows you cannot still the mind, but rarher, you give it space to still by itself. I like the analogy of trying to clear a muddy glass of water. No action we take will clear the water, only by leaving it alone do we allow the water ito settle itself. Anyway, I'm rambling now, sorry. Just wanted to say.great video, keep up the quality content. Cheers, Gassho, Namaste, Om Shanti , blessings and have a great day.

6 ads in 20 minutes, it ruined the meditation, you should really turn them off or the channel becomes completely useless

@@profundus9306 That's too bad. The ads pop up every 5 minutes so it's really distracting. Great meditation though. Thank you for posting

Thank you for explaining so clearly what Zazen is. I’ve been practicing meditation for nearly a year and I’ve gone all the way from metta to doing nothing. It’s helped me a lot in my daily life and I hope to get deeper into it progressively. It’s hard sometimes when you need to let things go, but I’m finally overcoming aversion to some thoughts. The key is to accept them without doing nothing. Thanks so much again, master!❤
