thank you for your several movies about all joints injection. I am curious to know your opinion on the use of intra-articular injections for this condition. Do you believe that such injections can be beneficial for patients with tennis elbow? If so, do you typically recommend or administer them?

@@profmuratkarkucakmd4615 I have taken 8 shots of Methylprednisolone steroid injections and it still didn't work, I mean it is in control now but on daily basis I by mistake make it hurt so badly🥹, I met a surgeon he also suggest me to do surgery but he told me their is a risk of hand paralysis. I am doing whatever I can but I didn't want to do surgery of it😭😭😭

Yes, the side effects are similar to those seen with local steroid injections. These side effects can be reduced if performed together with USG.

hi prof. do you think intraarticular steroid is still preferable in patient with joint pain? as steroid can cause cartilage degeneration as well.

Yes, steroids should be preferred first in joints with intense inflammation. Because inflammation can damage the joint more than steroids. Afterwards, regenerative treatments should be preferred.

I havea slight shoulder labral tear and a cyst on spinoglenoid notch and measures approximately 1.5 X 1.4 x 1.3 Cm. I was givent a cortisone shot for pain and it has relived 95% of the pain, but the cyst is def pressing up on my nerve cashing severe pain when i dont have cortisone. Doc suggested shoulder surgery but i cant do that RIGHT now. I can get this done as a first option. So you know anywhere in nyc that does this? I'd like to weigh my options before going full surgery.

How would one go about getting diagnosed with this? Are there places where physician are more aware and able to diagnose this condition or is this generally known by diagnostic radiologists to look for?

When this diagnosis is made, the best method is USG-guided calcification aspiration. Because it is the method that causes the least damage to the tendon. If it does not go away, surgery should be considered.
