You may find this hard to believe, because I'm an experienced classic car guy and not somebody you could easily flimflam. I had a 1971 Dodge Demon in show condition worth $22,000 and these lowballers got it for only $2800. They'd advertised themselves as established classic car buyers and came with an enclosed trailer and I had no qualms about their integrity. I was blinded by anger. When they offered me the paltry $2800, I was so angry and incensed, I told them to take the car and get out of here, of what they did. When I cooled off, it was too late. What I should have done, first thing, was to state my price upfront, and tell them, my price was $22,000 and you won't get it for less. When they first came in, they knew they couldn't afford my car. So they just threw out that lowball offer to rest my reactions and get to know me, and see if maybe on a longshot, they might luck out.
