You can't see crap fix your lighting. To you I'm sure it looks great. The video is you reaching into the shadows and not explaining much without the visual.

This video would have been far better without the shaky camera work. Very difficult to see what you were doing.

Thank you! I just bought a broken pallet Jack and have been trying to bring it back to life. Originally, when pumping the handle all the oil would leak out of the small pump piston. I bought new seals for the small pump and the larger ram that you showed. I just finished replacing the seals on the small pump and no more leaks there. I’m waiting for the seals on the lifting ram to arrive, but I noticed that there is an extra seal included that I did not see when I disassembled the ram. Then I watched your video and it all makes sense. I’m missing the blue seal you show all together!! It’s included with the kit I bought ($30 kit geezuz!! I wish I had found your video earlier). But at least now when the kit arrives I know where that extra seal goes. Hopefully it’ll bring this rusty Jack back to life. Thank you so much for your video.

Use a flashlight, look inside, make sure that old seal is not stuck in the base housing, you may have to use a screwdriver to reach in and pry it out. That seal is the most common issue with pallet jacks. Measure your seal with a pair of calipers and you can probably buy that one seal individually for a few $, i put the measurements and seal type in the vid description. I took my old seal to my local hydraulic shop and they matched it up to a similar one. It was different color than the old brown one but the color doesn't really matter. Maybe someone already took it apart and lost it lol, that's certainly possible.

@@luigithebaker When I started disassembling the Hydraulics I found the cap for the lifting Ram loose, as if it had already been removed. I'm assuming someone at the company that I bought the pallet jack from attempted to troubleshoot the Jack and removed the damaged seal. I rebuilt the smaller pump piston already, hopefully this seal is the last piece I need. I unfortunately already paid the $30 for the rebuilt kit (just 2 seals and 2 o-rings). Just waiting for the kit to arrive in the mail. Thanks again.

@@Blue2swing Did it work out for you? How did the repair go?

@@luigithebaker Yeh! The pallet Jack is functioning great, Thanks Again for the Video. The company selling the replacement seal for $30 had the seal on back order so I canceled the order and bought a $5 seal off eBay like you recommended. The seal worked out great. The pallet Jack is good as new.

I have a case with another pallet truck that lifts perfectly with a load, but you have to help it down... it doesn't come down on its own, it could be my dear friend

Thanks for posting you QSOs. Listening to contacts is great practice when getting on the air is difficult. Always good to see a J-38 in use as well, they're really fun keys to use.
