Great video, I had a similar experience, slow decline in speed as the temperature rose.

I go through that part of bush everyday seen few eastern browns in there and all those noisy bats on otherside
@Josh_Mannning18 күн бұрын
Yeah those bats are so loud and they smell pretty bad 😅 I’m lucky never seen a brown in there the coolest one I’ve seen is a red belly black and luckily it was from a respectable distance 😂

Congrats on the time, that wind was a challenge for sure. I was not to far behind you. Around this time can be hard to form decent groups to run with, did you have much trouble working with others on the day? All the best with the up coming races!
@Josh_MannningАй бұрын
Thanks! 😁 Hope you had a great race too. Yes and no-I had a friend with the same goal time, so we ran together for the first 10km. But then we split up, and we both started to slow down. I managed to get a bit farther up the road before I hit the wall, and after that, I was too gassed to catch onto the 2 or 3 small groups that passed me. But yeah I usually struggle to find a pack.
@BUSCHY1Ай бұрын
@ we just have to get faster then won’t we 😂 I managed to have 1 or 2 groups but they broke up fairly quickly unfortunately. Almost like they didn’t want to form a pack. I’d yell out through Albert park notorious for wind that let’s work together. Didn’t happen for long haha.

Great to see another Aussie on youtube. I tested both in the shop I found the Puma a little more stable especially around corners and the grip a bit better. It seemed to be better for slower runners like me too, so the Puma for the win :) :) . All the best for the race. I cant be there this year - knee injury :(
@Josh_MannningАй бұрын
hahah thanks hope your knee gets better fast!!! yeah the puma is definitely more stabel around corners the alphafly kind of feels like a big boat that struggles to turn
@yianpap6093Ай бұрын
Ha! It is obvious you gave the grip a clear win to the Nike because otherwise the Puma would be on top:) You are the only one who gives the Alphafly a win n grip over the Puma. Thanks for the video, it's good to know the Puma is durable, I'm getting it then!
@Josh_MannningАй бұрын
🤣 I might be a little bias. Hope you like the nitro elite 3 if you get a pair there a fantastic shoe
@yianpap6093Ай бұрын
@@Josh_Mannning Haha, it's OK. It's a no brainer for me really. Even if I could find an Alphafly (which I can't), its price is almost double that of the Puma (I can find the Puma for 200eur). I've tried the Puma in a shop and found it amazingly bouncy. Take the durability into account as well and one has to be a very hardcore Nike fan (or just wealthy) to go for the Alphafly. Finally, the Puma has got to be more stable as well, which could be a plus for many people who do not have great running mechanics.

Thanks so much for this review. I've been babying my puma DNE3 thinking it might not last past 200km because of how thin the outsole is, but looking at your 500km shoe vs my 40km shoe, it's almost identical. Now, I can confidently use it for my tempo sessions without worries. Lol.

@@Josh_Mannning I've been looking everywhere for at least a 100 mile review of DNE3. You saved me a lot of time and the fear of using my shoe. Lol. Kudos 👍🏼

Could you make a long term review for the DNE3. Like the experience of using it for 500kms, any issues or dislikes along the way? That would be much appreciated. 👍🏼
