Great stuff and thanks for sharing. .I think people have done similar for some of the "Carry On..." films, showing the back-projection car scenes and where they were filmed now. In a similar vein I really like the Star Wars / Dam busters side by side comparison here; www.youtube.com/

The building demolished to make way for what is now Poundland. Oh boy. What were they thinking?

Good job dude, cheers for uploading this. I’ve always been fascinated with looking at comparisons just like this 👍🏼 years ago I went round Carlton and Mapperley taking photos of buildings and streets that I’d found on picturethepast to analyse the changes

Thanks very much! I had a great time making it, glad you enjoyed. Indeed Nottingham has changed a lot in the past 120 years or so. It's a crying shame, we could have had a beautiful well preserved Victorian city, but I feel we have a bit more of a janky mess of new and old. I love the city we have, but I feel like we missed out on a lot!

Very Interesting! I thought the tram was going to Sherwood but it turned back towards city centre. The video is not on normal speed is it?

It seems to be moving forward toward Sherwood at the end but cuts out. The video has been 'speed corrected' which attempts to play the video at a more realistic speed.

Is that Carrington Street goods offices and sheds in the start of the footage ?

Yes it is, goes through what is/was the old Broadmarsh area through to Lister gate. You can see the old Yates pub when it gets to the market square.
