I knooow this tv series is over and this was a looong time ago, but it's one of my favourites. I must say I didn't like Chloe and Matthew's partnership; he was brash, inconsiderate and almost abusive to her. The difference between Matthew and Thomas rests in the fact that the latter knew how to "give credit where credit was due'', he was aware of Chloe's talents and unique perspective and he didn't feel threatened by her. He welcomed her into his team and made her feel at home, a feeling she had never known before, hence her early shyness and insecurity towards her colleagues. And Thomas saved her life on multiple occcasions, in many ways, the same way she did. I remember their first meeting in season 3. "Pouvez pas comprendre'' "Je comprends que vous avez trouvé une bonne planque ici". And from that moment I knew they were gonna be something special. Not in a romantic way, but they had a special kind of friendship. He was the steady rock that was missing in her life, and she was the soft, but powerful balanced voice of reason in his life. I miss series like these and all my respects to the creators of this televised masterpiece.
