IF you're leaving Roots in the ground those mesquite tree's will reappear at some point !

my question is does that machine grind up the mulch fine enough so I don't have to worry about the mesquite thorns in my tractor tires or my horses feet?? I'm interested if so, but if I have to scrape and burn the mulch to get rid of the thorns, then I may as well push the mesquites into burn piles. :)

Okay, so here I am back 9 months later, and still no reply. :( My land is only about 10 minutes from Joshua, so it's not a big road trip. :) I'm needing a 1200 foot strip cleared for a new fence if you are interested.

Texas Tech had a pamphlet in about 1979 that showed a mulcher on a Massey Ferguson tractor. I later was in a sheep pen that had hundreds of mesquite thorns on the ground. I do not know if the two were related, but I would not invest in a mulcher for mesquite until after I had seen the ground.

6 acres a day?!! Holy crap! I’m about to buy 4 acres with a ton of brush. Using this tool I wouldn’t feel so overwhelmed.

Good trees The best there is Dont rot No termites Hardest wood there is. Why now them down Geez Use them Best firewood also

they're thorny as hell. black locust is the rot resistant one.

Were these mesquite trees sprayed ahead of this clearing so that the tree removal will not result in resprout in a year, 5 years....etc.?

You can spray them and they’ll still resprout. Just like prickly pear, there is no one and done in rangeland management.
