Terms guilloche and guillochage are used interchangeably. The pronunciation phonetictically would be closer to sounding like ( Gi - O- Shay) as in a karate Gi(uniform) the letter, O and Shay. The terms, "cote de geneve" is pronounced like ( Coat Day- Geneve) with an emphasis on the first syllable (Ge) like the first syllable in the French pronunciation of the name John spelled (Jean). The word, homage is pronounced with a silent H as (Omage) with the last syllable similar to the first syllable of the name (Jean).

Absolutely love these. Out of my price range at the moment, but if I had the money I would jump on these solely for the caliber. Hopefully this movement will move down into the lineup like an all steel Chronomat, and you’ll find me in line to buy one!

I have one Panerai and unfortunately they make it hard for me to add more. I think they are pricing themselves out of like ability. This is a cool watch along with the Luna Rosa and submersible lines, but cost more than a retail Rolex? They need to price themselves closer to Omega and maybe they would get more traction.

Could you explain the crown markings. Under the Rolex crown are either dash or dots , or a combination of the two. Please keep the content coming as I have just discovered your channel

Hi thanks for your question and comments. The little dots (with or without dash) will tell you that your watch has a Twinlock or Triplock-crown. The singular dash, one dot or two dots mean that your watch has Twinlock technology. The singular dash also refers to steel or yellow gold. Two dots mean that your watch is made from whitegold. One dot means it is made of platinum. Three dots mean that your watch has Triplock technology. Three dots the same size refers to Triplock in steel or yellow gold.When the middle dot is bigger then the rest, your watch is whitegold. When the other two are bigger than the middle dot your watch is platinum. Hope that helps!
