Thanks for the video! I've got a student learning to fiddle, and he is really interested in the Cape Breton style. There was so much great information in this!!

Years ago while attending college I worked for the schools Department of Electronic Systems Engineering. My primary task was the design and operation of all of their audio systems and recording facilities. My point here is I know good from bad. This piece of music, and the way it was recorded is a delicate piece of art. The song is a journey that the listeners mind gets to travel through. This kind of work in both musicianship and recording is a rare occurrence. Thank You

You can tell JP and Dave have been playing together for many years . Fantastic playing and harmony on this Roy Clark tune. JP spent a lot of his early playing career around where I'm from in Alabama. Big fan of both these guys. Top notch.

Bravo !
So great to hear this. My grandfather came from Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides and I’m Scottish but living in Australia. Hope you can keep these traditions and particularly the language alive.

Yes, it is true, the Irish came up with the expression 'playing your heart out.' In their traditions there is no way around it.

I don't get people that don't read music. At some point it just becomes silly. After years of not reading music myself it took me about 4 months to learn. It's not very hard, especially for fiddle music and it just makes everything so much easier for everyone.
I’m a huge fan of Kate Breton style fiddling it’s a fantastic style of fiddling which I love I love all types of fiddle music Cape Breton there’s just something wonderful about it when the fiddlers of their own embellishments to any Tune which I think is great.
