Pastor John sang this song for the first time at my 4 year old daughters funeral in 1999. I still am moved when I hear it 25 years later. He sang it as it was my daughter sining it to us, her family... I look forward to hearing the voice of the arch angel, and the trumpet, and in the clouds of glory I will be looking for an angel holding a baby girl. This baby girl will no longer have cancer on her brain stem, her eyes will not be crossed, she will not have to take steroids to reduce the swelling around her brain, she will have a new body. As this angel will bring her to us, I will fall on my knees weeping, as the angel will place her back in the arms of my wife. She will be reunited with me, her mother, her older brother and a new brother who joined our family after her passing. I will then say to the angel and Jesus, "I'm ready to go home!" This world is not our final resting place, we are sojourners here. We are citizens of a heavenly city, not made with human perishing hands, but a city spoken into existance by the King of the Universe, "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

Soooo beautiful. May God continue to bless your talents to glorofy Him always. As a young girl my mom sang a lot and she loved Larnelle Harris as a result i lobed him too. Beaitiful tone and mesaagea in songs. Our genratuon do not know these songs such a sad thing . The evolution of music has destroyed music , i find it so hard to find meaningful songs to sing. Thank God for my mom, who grew me up in her era and thats the era i mainly sing from.
