Hey if it is working it doesn't need fixing but how much you pay for those flyers and what is the cost to distribute? Hard to beat lead ads when you can get high-quality leads at between 2-10 bucks depending on the market. If you have a service that doesn't have huge margins, flyers cost a lot but don't get crazy good responses so if you're trying to be tactical with budgets I think digital makes more sense, at least for me. I'm biased because I'm doing it all day but I get what you're saying, thanks for your perspective here on the comment.

@@BrandonBreshears Ads won’t help you if your product requires a more thorough explanation as to why people need your product. My case requires eye to eye contact because digital ads are easily skipped if they are not done correctly. Notice how some ads have to be at least 5 minutes long versus others which are mere seconds. Good points for sure, I think one of the most difficult things I face as a digital marketer is that I"m not a magician. I can't sell turds on the internet. If someone can't deliver in quality, service or product they won't do well when it comes to doing digital ads. Making good experiences and providing great service is the best marketing and putting paid ads behind it helps put gas on the fire. Thanks for your comment and perspective.

What's your industry? If it works, then keep doing it but if you can get clicks for the same price as printing fliers I'd much rather go with clicks who are interacting rather than hoping for a 1-3% response ona several thousand piece drop

@BrandonBreshears im a house painter. What I've realized, especially if your business is restrained by geography, is that multiple forms of marketing help build a stronger brand. If you use flyers and online ads you can reach far more people then one medium alone. Plus it shows that you have longevity and plan to service the community long term.

Hey mate, I've been thinking of doing some myself and I'm just wondering what your industry is and roughly what percentage of flyers turn into clients/customers

@@car1916 It’s a low percentage for me in the “self help” category but it matters a whole lot. Here’s the key, you MUST not simply hand out your flyers like candy. You have to look each potential buyer in the eyes and be a little serious about your product, otherwise they will eventually throw your flyer in the trash. In other words, it’s up to YOU and has absolutely nothing to do with the flyers. YOU have to convince your audience that they NEED your product. It’s exhausting but worth it because one will lead to five or ten. Do the math. So there are no percentages here. It all depends on YOU and how effective you are each and every time you interact with a single person. Don’t rush handing flyers out. Be VERY selective and ignore the obvious people who are in a rush or look like they’re having a bad day in an angry way. Stick to the slow movers, the thinkers, the wanderers. Hope this helps. @@francoherrera601 Yes. If your targeted crowd has nothing to do with what you’re selling, all the flyers in the world won’t sell not even one sale. But if you target the right crowd or at least a crowd close to what you’re selling, you will have sales. Know your audience. You can’t just give flyers to anyone, although it does rarely work for some people.

Man everything here is my opinion and experience. Examples of ads that work would be Google search ads, KZbin ads targeting interests or demographics, Facebook lead ads and a bunch of other things. The difference for fliers vs ads is that you pay for clicks rather based on intent or targeting not just hoping for someone in a location to respond. What is the response rate you get? 1% at best? With ads we can get upwards of 10% conversion.

@@BrandonBreshears Google's advertising products are mess. They sign you up and charge your account without even telling you. They charged up over $200 without my consent. Their pay-per-click doesn't get you anything but they still want their money. I don't know if you work for HomeAdvisor or any other one of those crooks but you're wrong about flyers. They are the most effective and cost-efficient means of getting work and it's the only method you can actually track and calculate ROI. Online advertising is just throwing money into the internet and hoping for results, without the ability to measure your return. I already blew $200 because Google's hieroglyphic advertising product offerings. You called it Google Search Ads. They had several different names for their ad services. They keep changing the names. I don't going to hire someone just to keep track of Google as they update the names of their products and services. It's a scam and you're pushing it. This entire video is just wasting people's time. Just read the comments dude. You'd be doing a service to the community by deleting this video.

Listen, I think what I hear you talking about is the frustration you've experienced, and I am not trying to sell you anything. I don't know what home advisor is. This shouldn't surprise you but I'm not a professional content creator. I took time and energy to make this content and put it out there. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, I am pretty certain I could give you a condensed lesson that would turn your campaigns from losers to winners, the thing about these platforms is their best practices don't work for everyone because they service massive companies like banks down to local biz. I get it, these are complicated nuanced platforms and if you don't know how to operate them to do what you want the results will be garbage. I've managed over 12 million in ad spend and the ROI has been huge, but you have to know how to use the tools. Recently I built a house on my own in Northern Idaho with zero experience. There have been lots of times where I didn't know how to do things and it was because I didn't know what I didn't know. @@jerrellslay9214 clothing brands do this all the time, it really depends if they are trying to sell fashion, lifestyle, status or what their brand represents, but, with awareness content you can show people wearing your brand, content associated with the values of your brand etc. A good example of someone killing it in the clothing side is Cove Clothing, Go Fast Don't Die and a bunch of others. I get what you're saying if works for you great. If I look at direct mail, You got a mailpiece that is say 43 cents to send out and you aren't guaranteed an open. I think if you can get clicks for people that are showing interest and you have better levels of tracking, more potential scale and the ideal demos you can target, why wouldn't you focus more on digital ads? I think direct mail and physical pieces work really well for people who have engaged but I would always start with digital and go to physical pieces later on. Totally does in my opinion. When you look at demos for your sales pros that would be things like age, income level, education level etc. Psychographics would be things like-eager to learn, teachable coachable etc.

Actually I don't think so. Have stopped using adespresso completely for my agency because of iOS 14. The update has made tracking and optimization useless on adespresso in my opinion.
