Yes..the Righteous Brothers sang pretty much straight rock and roll for about three years before they started singing ballads. They never quit singing it and always included RnR in their concerts. 'Little Latin Lupe Lu', 'My Babe' (both written by them) 'Koko Joe' 'Justine' 'Fannie Mae'.....kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJy7gHxqjqt_bbMsi=VMmZPnzy9DVYwDE8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKKtn5yjqq1ng8Usi=MLWs55E4EDb4tiFK kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGKTl36PpquAjrcsi=kuErgggc-lIicWiu

If you want your mind blown, listen to Dutch band Focus. ‘House of the King’ is good. I walked down the aisle 1974, to ‘Sylvia’.

See... I had totally missed this on the new channel. LOVE this song, probably my favorite from Buddy.... OK, "Everyday" is my favorite... but this is really close. I grew up on this song and many other classics.... family road trips, with Boomer Parents. That note rhythm/progression... and Bass guitar style was a defining characteristic of classic Rock N Roll... check out the Beach Boys, they use it A LOT it's WAY more about the Rhythm, and progression than the actual notes... It's comparable to the "Gallop" you hear in 80s/90s Metal, as far at's it's iconic presence.... AAA_AAA_AAA_AAA_ Punk has another but I've never heard it described in a single term... Its A-AA, B-BB, CCCD-DD 💙

Superb reaction! Their voices are so different. They're both great on their own but pure magic when they're put together. For a whole different vibe, check out "I Just Want To Make Love To You".

Great reaction! I also want to thank your doing this particular song. I've always loved this song. It's a fantastic tribute song to some legendary artists. I think the word is used too often sometimes, but this song is truly underrated!

Easily the greatest R&B/Pop/R&R singer of his era and one of the greatest singers of any era. He was certainly the most versatile. Next try him doing "Danny Boy" then his live version of "She's Alright (With Me)". Also give a listen to another of his great ballads, the live version of "Night". Jackie was indeed, incomparable...and yes, Jackie was the first.

Now watch the full Live Aid set of some 22 minutes. Charity concert at Wembley Stadium UK twinned with a concert in Philadelphia USA. You won't regret it in the slightest. Queen 👑 walked away victorious! They stole the show! Freddie had the audience in one hand and the microphone in the other hand! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJjJYn58Z8Sehqssi=kkQDOVGOBcnhCwZs When you watch the set, you will know who Queen is.

This song revived their career, they had NOT sung together since about 1968. In 1974 this was released. When I first it on the radio i knew EXACTLY who it was [no announcement]...I thought out loud, in the car, holy poop! Where have they been? They're back!!" They were singing about pop and rock stars that had passed away too young. They really need to do a biopic film on these two. Before they were nationally famous, they actually toured with the Beatles as a warm up act, in 1964 August / September...60 years ago this year!

Ha - you most def. know quite a few songs by Queen.... (how about "we will rock you".. which typically precedes this one-lol) - appreciate your reaction and look forward to more... Freddie Mercury is the astonishing singer, but this is not just "Fred & some guys" every member of this band has written a #1 hit... and both Roger Taylor (drummer) and Brian May (guitar) also sing quite well.. bassist John Deacon typically doesn't sing - only occasionally at live performances.. but Deaky has written some of the top hits...
