A very good friend of ours is a pilot for a well known Irish airline (😉) and he tells a story of how he regularly landed at an airport in Poland and a local man would moon the planes as they rolled onto the runway for takeoff but never on approach. Dunno why but this just reminded me of that story 😂

I think the point was that you were moaning that you were waiting for a landing clearance. As that was given as you were putting the gear down (ie 4nm) was that too late a landing clearance for you ;)
