Jack Whitaker says golf is the illusion of perfection. So when Norman said Gregory could do better he was right and wrong. He cannot do better than he did on that shot because it was that shot. The circumstances and skills produced what he could do at that instant. He should of you can do better than Gregory at other times.

Best of the Best . a few bad breaks but Norman had a huge heart and passion . I think his passion and heart and is why he didn't win 10 majors . Tiger was is great but Greg is in the same league . Jack even said Greg was the best player he had ever seen .

His swing was so buttery smooth when he was young. He shallowed the club a lot better in his down swing as well. Ah the days before the distance obsession had hit the game.

Just remarkable! His head is perfect throughout with no extra movements. I’d say that swing made a lot of people mad because he had some run ins for sure. They always seem to dislike the guy who makes it look that way.

The most noticeable things in his swings are his footwork, knee work, massive lateral shift and hipturn and that's amazing.

That's what you call a good old-fashioned ass whoopin by Montgomery. Monte had a perfect shot that fit his ball flight to win the US Open and he failed to execute a shot he hits in his sleep. That's golfs way of saying FU Monte you ain't gettin a major.

I had the privilege to be inside the ropes as a volunteer marshal following Freddie for 18 holes for 4 days in Singapore’s Johnnie walker classic. It was unreal the magic he performed shaping his shots any direction at will. Truly an honor to be with him throughout

Well one man won 6 majors and 40 tournaments and was No. 1 for 18 months ….the other MAN won 2 majors and 90 tournaments and was No.1 for 7 years!!!!! …..is it all about majors? Did Scott Hoch, Ray Floyd and Greg himself help Faldo’s career?

I still remember jumping around in the basement with my dad in 95 when Elk won the PGA. I was 6 and my dad wanted me to just watch Steve swing. He didn't add anything himself. Kids have a natural ability (sometimes) to swing the club. Parents get out of the way; most of you are hacks anyway ;)

I love Greg but I hate the shark hats. It’s just a bit “up yourself”. I wouldn’t mind if Greg had won 5 or 6 majors but to act like a legend when you only won two…nah! That said, five guys won their only major over Greg - Mize, Pavin, Azinger, Calcavecchia and Tway, and three of them were in playoffs, so he was pretty stiff. Meanwhile, Faldo was a comparatively lucky winner at Augusta as all of his wins were assisted when other players blew it with bad shots or entire rounds - Scott Hoch misses a two foot putt, Floyd goes in the water, and Norman himself in 96. After all that though, people liked Greg and thought Faldo was an arse.

Will never forget being at the 89 British Open and watching Greg’s third and fourth rounds. His 64 was amazing. Damn I wish he’d won it. I truly believe he was awesome to simply come back from the Larry Mize chip in at the Masters in 87 which must have broken his heart. Maybe the Lord figured Larry needed it more.

Brilliant, Normans saturday slam, leading headed into the final round of the four majors in 1986, Came up short in three of them won the British only that year, Its hard to stomach some of those failures when you see this, Knowing how far ahead of the pack he could be.. could easily have had eight major's , Greg Norman has rated himself a six out of 10 for his Performances in Majors said he didn't know how to take advice , Steve Williams Who caddied for him was absolutely convinced that his ball sponsor spalding wasnt up to scratch, saying that the Spalding ball flight was inferior plus he Caddied 13 of Tiger Woods major victories so he knows a bit about ball flight and backspin.. not a single excuse.. big pity
