@3:35 Thank you so much for pulling out that bracket and showing how to work with it. I also need to replace the Shifter Cable on 2003 Chevy Cavalier, and that part is the most challenging for me. For right now I attached the Transmission Shifter to the transmission w/large zip-tie. It works, I've read you can replace that zip-tie once in 2 years or smth. Of course I won't wait that long, bought already a couple of new automatic transmission cables (I think to modify on one of them the ends in the sense of permanent connection instead of those unreliable bushings). But while busy that connection with Zip-Tie is pretty good to have for a while (very easy and fast to install, and you do it fm the top, as that connection is shown @4:42). Thank you again. Thats 100% thewrong way to do that lol you cannot touch any of those bulbs with your fingers the oil from your touch is going to short the bulb in half the time they would normally last

Note: For those who want to try w/out removing everything. a long skinny pry bar, pop one side of the clip (see video above), hold to one side so it doesn't lock again, then pop the other side AFTER the cable end is off the stud. Then slide out of the bracket, insert the new plastic insert (O'Reilly auto parts) AFTER you put some wheel bearing grease in the cable end to accept the new part. Pop it in, and re-install. About a 10min job once you get the cable out of the bracket and that didn't take to long. Thanks for the great video, it really helped and I wanted to try this way as you mentioned due to a storm and needed the car in service.

Of course if the cable isn't broken and it's sliding well it doesn't need to be replaced. You can buy the 14055 dorman part which is a two grommet package. One of the grommets is for the shifter end of the cable in the car center console and the other one goes out on the end of the cable that attaches to the transmission

Does it matter which way the resistor assembly goes into the blower box also how do you test the resistor. I installed a used resistor and still blower don't work.

Dude.... you could have walked into any autoparts store and just bought a new bushing... I've had the same problem but I just replaced the bushing, it took less than 5 minutes... you ripped out the center console for what???

Also, I had more success removing that screw with a open end box wrench rather than a socket wrench, some socket wrenches are longer than others and won't fit

When you reattatch the relay at about 16:25 I'd say, first screw in the hole that's directly facing you, then you can bend it clockwise and have it lay flat against the resistor array hole, simplifying reinstallation.

Thanks for the video, I thought my brother's plumbing truck was a 1999 Chevy Silverado 2500, turns out it's a 1999 Chevy TAHOE! Looks like I'll be able to get the AC back after I order some parts, we've been through 3 weeks of Texas Hell traveling to jobs! I took out the blower motor and connected it to my test 12V battery, it makes a funny sound, so I know the ball bearings on it are bad. We've been using a 12V DC fan from Autozone to not die in the meantime 😅😅😅😅
