Gosh I'm so envious you can go through all your drawers and cupboards in one go I'm older and have mobility issues I can only get through 1 or 2 a day lol thanks for the motivation ❤

Hi Karen, Comparison is the thief of joy! With your circumstances, what if you took just 15 minutes / day? In the next 30 days - you will have completed 7.5 hours of decluttering! Small daily wins WILL accumulate to big results over time! xo

Does the dust from all the cleaning not cause your allergies to just go crazy? Lol i.cant handle it anymore it makes me 🤧 so bad
@BrianneWalter3 күн бұрын
Hi there, No. Living with dust is part of life. I now have a rainbow vacuum that purifies our whole house, and really has helped with my allergies, and the amount of dust in our home.

Basically, our problem is that items became cheap and very low quality. Corporations burn through resources that belong to everyone like there's no tomorrow

Buying a new silverware organizer just because old one is not bamboo? Thats not minimalism😂 but it does look good. I approve!
@BrianneWalter3 күн бұрын
Hi there, swapping out toxic plastics is more important to me then your idea of "minimalism"! Additionally, yes - the bamboo organizers bring me joy. You do you in your home! Thanks for the comment though!

It’s okay to have a few extra things during transitions in your life. I accept stuff when I have a new hobby I want to try, but if I haven’t started it in a few months, I donate it. I’m still working on decluttering more, but I’ve noticed it’s a constant thing that has to be revisited yearly, seasonally, monthly, weekly, and for some things even daily.

You really can't go wrong with Yeti so that's a great suggestion for Father's Day! I'm in maintenance mode for the areas that I have control over (the upper 2 levels) but the mancave and basement (the lower 2 levels) need some work.

Yes!! I feel this too. Thanks for sharing! We have a few areas that need some extra help right now too, but the main living areas are well maintained. :)

Hi Brianne! I do not have a rug under my dining room table. I did when my kids were young….had to vacuum ALL THE TIME!!! My daughter is now 42 years old….(son passed away at age 21 in 2008 - motorcycle accident) I love the look of a rug under the table and maybe someday I will have one. Until then I will enjoy vacuuming once a week and an occasional swiffer under (if company is coming) Love watching your videos and having you keep me company while I get my chores done 😊 Happy Birthday to you and your girls!!! 🎉🥳🎂🍭🎈

I need to know: 1.) do you have a area rug underneath your dining room table? 2.) how old are your kiddos?
@natanyawait607221 күн бұрын
We bought a house with carpet installed even in the dining room, however we are having the roof fixed and cannot remove the carpet untill the roof repairs are done as the house will be too cold ( South Africa - too much rain in summer hence roof repairs happen in winter) my kids are 4 and 6 and i vacuum 3 times a week and its still not enough, cant wait for my wooden floors and there will be no carpet under my dining table, absolute nightmare.

We have a light colored area rug under our dining table (on a dark floor). However, all our kids & grandkids are grown so there aren’t many spills.

Hi Laurie! Glad to see you committed! I have two options for you: 1.) I have a decluttering guide that takes you through my decluttering process, overcoming obstacles (including getting your hubby & kids on board), as well as how I ruthlessly decluttered our home. You can grab it here: www.briannewalter.com/category/all-products If you're looking for my free offer, I suggest watching through my Decluttering Motivational Playlist (Messy to Minimal): kzbin.info/aero/PLEdgCpRxEz3duKnT_XVb8Bo7w5F3StTV2

I am in. We have just hut the empty nesters phase of life with our youngest child moving into her own apartment. We have a very small house and for years I have had to practice letting things go to a certain extent, but we do have cupboards that need to be gutted out and an off site storage unit that is full of boxes I have not touched in years. We always thought we would move to a bigger house when the children were little, so we stored a lot of our belongings for the day that we moved. We have lived without those things for so long, it is now time to let most of them go. I know it will be a big job, but I look forward to how much better it will feel to be free of all the clutter.
