Thank you for this video. I’m trying to follow the instructions and fix my camera but after I copy the UPDATED folder to the SD card and turn the cam on, instead of showing the “Updating” message, it only turns the cam on, but it doesn’t show anything on the monitor. Have you sent his before?
@3BRPOWERSPORTS6 күн бұрын
Be sure the UPDATE folder is in the root directory of the MicroSD card. You can have other stuff on the SD card but I always format it before loading the UPDATE folder just to be sure

Could you do a test on the GPH 7 black with an external battery and see if you get any issues like I did . Would be interested to know if it is just my camera.

Why isn't mine working I did exactly what you did and when I tap the shilutter to record it reboots n turns right back on?
@3BRPOWERSPORTSАй бұрын
You may not have the "UPDATE" folder in the correct location. Make sure it is in the root directory of your SD Micro card.

After several attempts to reach the reviewer to clarify this issue but no response I have a feeling that there is more to this than is apparent. Therefore I have done something that I have never done in the 12 year history of the company - delete the review.

I bet someone stuck a X3 into the X4 frame....
@3BRPOWERSPORTSАй бұрын
I thought that as well, but when I put my X3 into the X4 frame there was a ton of space at the top that would make it obvious that it was the wrong one.

What makes this a better option than the pass through door from GoPro?
@3BRPOWERSPORTSАй бұрын
It is MUCH more robust. The GoPro Pass Through door is an excellent solution for most users but if you need a more positive cable retainer and robust seal then the X~PWR H9 is the way to go.

@3BRPOWERSPORTS do you have, or know of, a similar option for the DJI Osmo Actions?
@3BRPOWERSPORTSАй бұрын
@@ddubbz1979 I make an external power kit for the Action3/4/5 but it is somewhat of a different concept. It adapts the SmallRig mount frame to accept a USB cable retainer. Can you recommend best camera for kayak bass fishing? I want to hit record and go for the day. Power bank but weatherproof when there's rain.
@3BRPOWERSPORTSАй бұрын
The X4 with the 3BR Powersports X~PWR X4 kit is very popular with anglers. The cable seal for external power will withstand heavy water washdown so it is perfect for kayaks. 3brpowersports.com/products/x-pwr-x4-all-weather-external-power-for-insta360-x4-camera

Interesting,I’ve never had my GoPro 12 overheat or have any issues I see people on KZbin claiming,and here’s my Dji affiliate link! 😂
@RayR00413 ай бұрын
They all overheat! Look how small they are and how much is going on inside them. Really with no air flow any of them will overheat! This isn't a good test of anything!
@3BRPOWERSPORTS3 ай бұрын
you totally missed the point of the test. This was a comparison between cameras using controlled parameters. BTW - you might be surprised at how many users record indoors with stationary cameras and no forced convection (fan)

When installing the optional mount foot, do you recommend the use of a thread locking compound such as Loctite Blue?
@michaelguyer7034 ай бұрын
Some great information there, especially since overheating is a common problem among action cameras!

So my problem with DJI OSMO 4, I get gaps at 2.7K and above, combined with 48 FPS and above, within 90-120 seconds of "start" filming. Then they randomly repeat as the video continues. My gaps are less than 5 seconds, may be less than 3. I am running a Scandisk 256GB, V30 A2 SC card. Any thoughts?

For those of us running cameras on our kayaks this is a great product to keep our electrical connections dry. Especially important for those of us who fish in saltwater environments!

Seems like having the internal battery removed would allow the unit to run cooler. Great that it also has cold shoes!

Way too much rig amaro for such a simple job!
@3BRPOWERSPORTS Жыл бұрын
The object was to make it as close to a factor installation as possible by routing the cable down the backbone to the accessory connector. As mentioned in the video there is a short cut where the tank doesn't have to be removed. It is a shabby way to route the cable and not the way we do things here at 3BR Powersports.

@@3BRPOWERSPORTS Shabby? How about smarter? My Road King shares the wiring harness of HD Touring bikes, so inside the headlight nacelle there is a switched 12 volt power lead for "Fender Tip Light" that is not used on Road Kings. THERE is the power source, tap the USB Charger to it, voila, done, powers on and off with the main switch, no pulling the seat, no fumbling under the fuel tank, easy. Work smarter, not harder!

Typical of a shop or dealer. Make things much more complicated than necessary so they can jack up the labor bill. Put mine on with hidden wires in 25 minutes. Been working for 5 years.

Cristy Lee did an awesome job! I'm amazed at how she managed to pack all the relevant information into such a short time. Despite having just received the product, she demonstrated feature knowledge as though she was part of the company.
