My cousin, who is not a LHOTP fan, was on a road trip in Iowa. My cousin didnt know Im a huge LHOTP fan! Im really knowledgeable about the books, site, and tv series. She took selfie in front of this hotel 5 years ago. I didnt know she was doing a road trip in Iowa for some reason- she lives in L.A .. She texted the photo of a selfie of her in front of the motel and asked"where am I?" I immediately texted back- Ingalls hotel Burr Oak! She was shocked! I told her I had seen it in some lhotp book many years ago. It was in bad shape, and they restored it

2:04 there is a house EXACTLTY like this Burr Oak Hotel in a small town in California Gold Rush country along Hwy 49. Exactly! Built in 1850s-60s probably. I wonder if someone bought blue prints from same place this Burr Oak hotel? I think the town is Sonora, or Columbia CA. Ill have to look at my Shutterfly account. All those Hwy 49 towns in Nor Cal popped up 1850s from Gold Rush! They filmed a few episides of the TV series Little House up there for historically accurate architecture, court.

The only time I've been to the US for work, back in 2013, I had 2 free days to visit anywhere I wanted in the US. I booked a domestic flight, hired a car, drove to de Smet, and stayed on that campsite in a cheap tent. Totally worth it, thanks for bringing back good memories!

I went a couple days ago, love scary movies, etc. been to other haunted attractions.. I literally didn't make it past the first entrance into the town. It was nuts. There wasn't even anything in the entrance to scare you it was literally just a pitch black maze where you had to feel your way to get through.. and I mean pitch black, no vision at all..and I didnt want to whip out my phone and ruin it for everyone else, but I literally started to panic, because I lost all spatial awareness and I had no idea where I was, or who I was touching in front of me (probably not who I came with) And that freaked me out so much I had no desire to go in any of the other places, but honestly I wish I had, it looks cool. They need to put a SMALL amount of light in that entrance.. it's not cool or fun at all and it's a gropers paradise.
@mattm8441Ай бұрын
like literally, there's every excuse in the world to just grab people that you shouldn't be grabbing, wherever you want to grab. I'd still be in that maze if someone else hadn't lit up the place with their phone. And then we stood there for 2 mins until I realized I was the FRONT of the line, not waiting in line. ugh.. the worst. The other haunts look cool though. They need that entrance to be like the last thing you do because it was def the scariest.
@TommyTravelsАй бұрын
Are you talking about the house at the very end of the hayride? I know that one is very dark and has a bunch of tight squeezes. That not my favorite. The houses in town have a few dark corners but nothing like that.
