AutoWorld makes some nice vehicles. I was lucky enough to find a yellow Plymouth Roadrunner exactly like Daisy Duke's, to go with my other Dukes of Hazzard vehicles. The one by ERTL that came with the set was simply not satisfactory. Greenlight also makes some top notch replicas.

Very nice collection. I regretfully gave all my collection of Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars to my younger cousin when I thought I was too old for those kind of things. Now I'm too old to start a collection again, so I just bought a 1:1 Challenger 😎😎

Miss old Matchbox built in England,much better than Hot Wheels who undercut them by making theirs in Hong Kong at a cheaper price point with the tacky paint jobs.Families were mostly hard up working class in the 70's and cheap rubbish Hot Wheels were the alternative mothers bought for their kids.

my mum worked in the matchbox factory near hackney marshes, she used to bring home cars for me, i wished i kept them in their boxes, but as a child, i was too eager to play with them. seeing this catalogue brought back found memories. i'm 58 and still remember all the cars i used to play with.
@diecast_MikeEspo10 ай бұрын
Hi , quick question. Did your mom take any pictures of inside the factory ? They would be great to see . Thanks Mike

Still have some of these in my collection. Piston Popper, Sea Fire, Blaze Buster, Lambo Countach, Clipper, Silvia Spyder, Dragon Wheels. Hell Raiser was my favorite. Planet Scout, Cosmobile. Where's Cosmic Blues? That one looed staright out like a Tooned Camaro opr a Muscle Machine casting. Great memories. Wish I had more MBs, buit Hot Wheels was my thing. Still is.

The orange BMW was my all time favorite car as a kid. Matchbox actually had better vehicles. Quality, detail, the works. Hot Wheelz just had a catchier brand name. Thank you for this post. I was just going through.. I had that one.. and that one... oh, that's the name of that one!
