My guess this is from when we last had a truly patriotic president in The White House, Ronald Reagan. Circa 1986. Great Boston crowd too ! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🌄

The audience must be full of dumb millennials who don’t understand how iconic this piece is.

@ 00:48 when i hear the soundtrack i always thought it was Euphoniums playing that part. But it's Horns. I swear the Horn is really The Phantom of the Orchestra 😂.

😢I celebrate talent, but to be an accomplished musician. Such ease with the foxy tune thrown in too. I wish to ascend before death please. This is actually a piece.

While I enjoyed the second movement, the volume of the piano is too loud compared to the English horn - at least in the recording. Overall, I found Bernstein's playing to be a bit heavy-handed.

I love this piece. Horner (RIP) captures the emotions of this scene. It's like at 3:52 you can actually hear the ship spinning up with the music. This may be my favorite piece of music from all of "Star Trek"

Welp, that was my childhood right there. I was fortunate enough to see the Maestro conduct live in 1993. 30+ years and it's still one of the strongest memories I've got.
