Iv seen 1- on U-Tube exactly the same it was in California,I made a comment and the owner said he didn’t know where it originally came from!! Didn’t want to sell it!

@Leo-DaGreek oh the one I filmed was last year in Long Island but it was that exact color combo white and blue two tone with the BB etched on the opera window glass and turn signal lenses

@@Inspector-71 as a broke kid from a broke neighborhood where the BEST one could hope for was a feckless state government job in the 1980s, Bill Blass was the guy I admired for his style. I was forlorn when I heard he had died. He was a very stylish dude.

@@MarkWG with respect to the wheels it all depends on taste. I like the 100 Spoke and 150 spoke Player wheel 15-18". It really brings out the chrome or stainless side trim. Some.of the OEM wheels dont accentuate the size of the body or just look dated(for example, I think the magnesium alloy turbine wheel Ford used in the 70s and 80s has outlived its usefulness. It is attractive but dated. I also grew up with these cars. My cousins grandfather brought home a 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis 4 door hardtop chocolate brown when I was at her house for a birthday party. That car made me a Lincoln Mercury man. When I brought my first car I looked for something similar...and came home with a 1983 Mercury Grand Marquis LS Brougham walnut brown leather.

@@viciouspoodle5543 yea it is. I was uploading two Marks at the same time and the image didnt show when I was typing the title. This is a 1977...I have never seen this color scheme on a BB. I also videoed a 78 BB that had a more conservative color scheme and what I remember the Bill Blass Edition to be. On one of these disks somewhere I hope I can recover the video I took of a Continental with the Emilio Pucci designers package.

@@viciouspoodle5543 ill look for those cues. I never held much regard for the Mark 4. The Mark 3 Was a beautiful and the Mark 5 was a break. I like the 3 and the 6 the best. The interim years I prefer the Torino Cougar XR7 and the rebodied Torino Tbird

@@johnlucas5171 yep this is 2023. I missed this years show also. I work for a company that has a terminal in Carlisle area and I got to see the GM National Show and the Ford National Show. Next time I go to a Chrysler centered show I willhave to be veru selective and aim for the C bodies and 1980s+ L, K and H bodies. There were too many B, A, E bodies there and not enough time(for my particular interest).

@@GalaxieMarauder I will see you then! I love the shows at Carlisle as well, they always bring in good attendance and they run the show quite well. We attend the Ford show every year as a vendor, Fathouse Performance. We build twin turbo packages for the 2015 up Mustangs and always have good results at that event. So stop by and say hi if you get out to the ford show as well!

@@wwrunk5551 maybe Cadillac. I think HF2 was trying to prove he could make a better car than Rolls Royce. Remember RR didnt even have a V8 engine then so it limited how advanced their design could be. These are the 4 door 58 and 59 are very beautiful cars. Much more iconic than a RR Shadow or Silver Spur.

@lordapophis7438 mechanically the car came with the same 455ci V8 and th400 transmission. The differences between the Electra 225, Limited and Park Avenue are all cosmetic and somewhere in the pricing. As you can see this car does not say Electra anywhere so I initially thought it was a Park Avenue but other viewerd said a Park Avenue would say so in the 6th window glass. I dont see the economic feasibility of offering 3 premium hardtop sedans in 1976 from ONE marque. I understand from the whole company as 5 separate but similar models but 3 from Buick? Odd

@GalaxieMarauder indeed, it was almost like they were begging for failure. They were not the only ones, Mercedes and BMW are guilty of doing the same.

@lordapophis7438 you ll have to explain to me that because the BMWs differ in engine, like the 740, 745, and 750i but otherwise these cars arent that much better than the Buick Electra. Mercedes differ as well because each upgrade is a strategically better car, the S500, S600 and Maybach increase in dynamic ostentation. Audis would have an A8, an A8 L, and then a superpowered S8. Of course Im comparing 2009 era European fullsize sedans with a primitive 1976 Buick. So its hard to do... If one has a place to park this car and is forgiving of its atrocious fuel economy 1970s cars were really great and beautiful
