@@thongvue5395 Actually, my guide said Ban Sanomai is an Akha Chupia village, but the village school also serves the surrounding villages, including the White Hmong village of Ban Aya, hence the teachers may be speaking in Akha and Hmong to the students. If you can translate the Hmong being spoken and provide time stamps for when the sentence is spoken, I can go back and add subtitles if it would be of cultural benefit to the viewer. There are other videos on my channel that were taken in northern Laos and northwestern Vietnam that features Hmong people (White Hmong, Black Hmong and Flower Hmong) that I posted because I’m interested in and intrigued by Hmong culture (which I’ve also encountered in northern Thailand along with ethnic Karen culture). Anyway, ‘o’chaun’ (sp?) for viewing and the feedback. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks! I'm intrigued with the ethnic minority cultures in Southeast Asia and have been able to sample a number of the various cultures and visit some of their villages in Myanmar, Thailand, Sarawak (Malaysian Borneo), Vietnam and now Laos (Akha, White Hmong, Khmu, Punoi and Tai Deng tribes). I have many more videos to upload here from my latest SE Asia trip and will shortly begin working on the associated blog posts that will feature these videos and photos together with detailed accounts of the destinations visited in my enchantingseasia.blogspot.com travel blog. Cheers!

How long is the journey and what's the costs?
@el29954 ай бұрын
The travel time was about 46 minutes, with the one-way ticket (Train # C86, 09:33 departure) costing 222,000 Kips (about US $10.70). From downtown Luang Prabang (Cold River Hotel, near the Nam Khan River) to the Luang Prabang train station it was about 8km/20 minutes by car, with the travel time from the Oudomxay train station to downtown Oudomxay (Charming Laos Hotel, near the Road #2E.Road #13 intersection), it was about 3.5km/10 minutes by car.

My sister is right, Saigon is an unforgettable place! She misses the food, the market, the culture. Her and her husband lived there in the 70’s , he was working for USAID, my first niece was born there

Been going there from time to time since 1987 for food offerings to the monks, Burmese festivals and gatherings, and such. I was there for the ground breaking to construct the Shwedagon-style zedi/chedi shown in the preview thumbnail and helped clear some brush from the hillside, plus videotaped the progress of the construction and the dedication ceremony when the 'hti' (umbrella) was placed at the top of the zedi. It's very much like being back in Burma/Myanmar while visiting there. If you are ever in the Los Angeles area, check out the Burmese monastery in Azusa.
