Need to be more ruthless though and really put someone to the sword. Big few weeks ahead and could be season defining, and think we’ll know by December how our season is likely to play out.

Love the podcast, but get frustrated by the hyperbole at the minute. We aren't brilliant. We play some nice stuff at times, but are not clinical. Ramsey & Rogers final product is not great, bailey been off it this year. Brilliant is us firing and being clinical. That, we are far from currently. Brilliant isnt drawing against Bournemouth, man utd and ipswich. We are doing well, but lets not over egg what it is.

Getting a little bit concerned about Onana getting constantly subbed, not a good sign. I wouldn't be overly surprised if he's sold in the summer if a big bid comes again. Similar to the Diaby sale.

Frustrating obviously, but performance overall was good and can't really fault much aside from the lack of finishing off chances. Other thing I noticed is the goal comes from a near post header - Bologna hit the post from a player not being dealt with at the near post and Emery was furious. Something I'm sure they will look at.

As a Cherries fan I am coming up for this and must admit to slightly fancying our chances. It’s very difficult for fans of big clubs to look at Bournemouth and take them seriously. Little tin pot Bournemouth. We get very little coverage unless we beat a top side and even last week it was why did Arsenal lose with 10 men rather than a brilliant AFCB performance. We are playing really well. Villa are certainly a step up on us though, no doubt. But we are getting there and next year or the one after we should be challenging for Europa conference league. Good luck to Villa after Saturday.

I actually likened the Bologna performance to the Man City game last season which I said was one of the best games I'd seen at Villa Park so based on that it's definitely in the top 5 performances in recent years.

Duran is overtaking so many previous Villa strikers. Actually incredible his scoring rate and the magnitude of the goals. Already overtaken your Angels and Carews for me. Deserves to start Saturday imo

I think if Villa start playing from the beginning instead of waiting until the 30 minute mark to wake up, we have a good chance of winning.

A great start to the season so far,4th in the premier league/1st in the champions league, plenty to be positive about going into the game vs Bournemouth which won't be easy,but hopefully we should have enough with nearly our whole squad available right now.
