Well screw it. I'm sitting on about $225k in timber. But if loggers can't cut closer to the ground . Like flush then ill just keep the timber and thin it myself. To keep the land from being raped and destroyed. Along with not having to deal with stumps.
@BowTech11 Жыл бұрын
Then you may as well just thin it yourself and make a few videos to keep us updated on the progress. I am interested to see these “flush stumps.”
@clintjohnson7023 Жыл бұрын
@@BowTech11 it would take quite awhile. But one would think now that there are machines that can cut that quick. And logger isn't having to bust his ass the old fashioned way with a chainsaw. That they could cut within an inch or 2 of the ground and not leave stumps sticking up a foot or more.

@@oldtimerf7602 I have a 437e you might have caught a glimpse of it in my videos. I also have a reversible 4400 CSl(I can drive to CSI in 25 minutes from my house and one of my dads best friends built the first working pull through delimber and got screwed by Tommy Hamby on the design but that's a story for another day) hooked to the 437e. I also have an old 310 prentice and a 325 prentice both with 42ip saws. Either of those Prentice loaders will outsaw that E Deere and the E loaders are supposed to be 17% stronger than the 437D loaders were. I think I may need to get james River out to do some adjustments. That E will delimb an 800 foot white pine without butting it off like nothing but it has a slow slasher chain speed.

@@mattsweet5767 It is really hard to buy brand new equipment here because the terrain in these mountains always limits production and we just don't handle enough money. We still log with cable skidders 70 to 80 percent of the time. There is only one guy within 80 miles from here that has a tree cutter like yours and he owns his own sawmill. We have no chip market either since LP closed down.
