Thanks! You may have spared my muddy dismay this weekend. I did a little more research and toe socks apparently are the answer for many people.

@Joelam400 Honestly, mud and rocks in my shoes was definitely the worst part of the whole thing, so whatever you CSS do to minimize it, definitely do it. It's really hard to clean them out when your hands are covered in mud too.

Firstly, I really like your music choice! Also, I noticed you have the same pair of barefoot shoes I've got. My TM is this weekend and I was curious how badly mud and gravel leaked in on the sides. I'm considering throwing on a pair of light long socks to cover up, so does that sound like a good idea?

@tarara666 It's Texas, hot weather isn't uncommon here. Hot weather isn't what causes the fires though. This year we've had the worst drought(in Texas history) ever, so everything is very very dry/dead, which is a perfect breeding ground for fire if somebody were to accidentally flick a cigarette onto the ground or simply cause a small spark that hits the ground.

@inwinblades All of Tahitian Village subdivision has been under amandatoryy evac notice. All the smart folks have left as the fire has jumped from the north side of Hwy 71 to the south. (The brand new Walgreens built on Hwy 71 near the Tahitian entrance is gone to ash...)
