Yes, it is two player, but that is entirely optional. Play by yourself or against another, just for extra fun. The current high score should stay on your machine for next time. 2 joysticks supported on Console8 or AgonLight2 with joystick adapter. This was my first game just trying to work out how to deal with sprites in z80 assembly, plus simple background tune. It also included a custom font before the font.api was included in more resent OS releases.

You nearly got there! Watching your replay I see a couple of minor content bugs, but nothing serious. I started the game simply as a challenge to see if I could render a 3d style maze, then it grew a bit. AI monster, etc will be great, but I needed to take a break form the game for a while. Maybe in the future. The display uses a double buffered screen mode, so the redraw is very fast for each frame. And, all written in z80 assembler, so very compact code. Glad you had fun!

I will try it again. I am somewhat new to the Agon and still learning. Just trying out some of the software for now. But I really like the look of this title. Would love to see it expanded with some RPG elements.

How was the response? I've read some reviews that say the paddle is laggy, yet others saying the response is fine, and it's likely just those other folks need to put their TV in game mode.

The response seemed fine to me. It did seem a bit more sensitive than what I remember from the original Atari paddles. But its newer components and emulation so I didn't expect it to be exact. I felt it was exceptable for plug n play device.

I see that the apk file for it is available online. You should be able to download it and use an installer program to install it You will probably have to set your phone to allow 3rd party installs. That being said this game is an older game and I don't know if there will be any issues running on a newer system. All you can do is try it. You could also try running it on a PC using bluestacks.

I will agree with that. It could use some improvement for sure. But this game is a serious step up in what the Aquarius has to offer. I hope to see more of this type of game in the future. With time I think some of the misgivings will iron out. But I do feel this is a solid offering on this system.

That is an EZFLI model E1 toy robot. I believe it is a discontinued product. There was an app for it but it doesn't seem available anymore. But it still dances to music.

Eeeuw.. something's broken there. I think it's missing a texture or something. The title screen shouldn't be white like that. I'd love to test&fix that, but my devkit's all kinds of wonky right now.

Nowadays I make browser games, and though I "could" make a new version of this, it's hard to make twin-stick games when you can't be sure the player has the setup to play it. Being able to make fun things like this is the biggest thing I miss from my Gamestick days. I do like this game.

Was intentionally rubbish! If you grew up in the 8-bit era, you'll definitely remember rubbish game collections like this one. I wanted to evoke a certain type of nostalgia. .. not bad that I managed to make 7 rubbish games in a week, though! Not sure I could do that, nowadays. I'd probably get stuck on one idea and end up making a fun single game instead.

I was actually going to mention you in the Evercade Facebook group. You have created so much that a "Best of A Game A Week" cartridge would be a nice addition. Fun Fact : This game was originally intended to be just a theme in SpikeDislike, hence the one-button gameplay, but as it changed the gameplay a bit too much, I opted to make it its own thing, instead.
