Hi Bill, thanks for the information. I am an ICT Project Manager in a new organization ( University). Part of my responsibility is to assist ICT Develop PMO. I have done PMO maturity Assessment at this point and have listed actions to take to move to the higher levels. The cross-functional team driving project currently have no PM experience. Where do you suggest i start or any recommendation you can provide me with?

A few years ago I used ADKAR as a tool to support my PMO clients to articulate scope and benefits. The organisation was introducing project management in a human services environment, i.e., non-traditional project management, think government programs targeted to uplift health outcomes or education outcomes. I have always tried to wear both my PM hat and a CM hat. Trained in traditional CM and in Prosci I like to mix the tools up a bit. Not sure if anyone else has done that, and would love to hear what tool you used across the two professional streams. Enjoyed this video. Thank you for taking the time to make it.

Previously , I used to utilize smartsheet as PPM SaaS tools. Currently , I shifted to Microsoft Package, which includes SharePoint and Power Platform ( Power BI , Power Automate, and Power Apps)

Wow, thank you so much, What we do is store then in a centralized sharepoint site so we have them all in one spot, throw PowerPI reports on them, and then once a week do a global review and look for hot spots. Then reach out to the PM to address. :) Been doing for years and years that way at the portfolio/PMO level.

I think you made it a little more complicated than it should be for a company who's dabbling with a PMO for the first time. Best approach is to get your Governance in place first.

Benefits are not trade off decisions. But, they may be out of scope or planned at a later stage/date due to budget. If we look at this from an investment point of view, we are optimizing the initial investment to the definitive outcome.
