A pair BBC radio DJs of Dave Lee Travis and Paul Burnett (under the name Laurie Lingo and the Dipsticks) did a British version called " Convoy G.B." You find it on KZbin, if you dare.

Very good analysis. After seeing the movie a half dozen times. I was surprised by the tone of the book in comparison to the movie. After watched the movie first I thought I missed something. I totally agree in regard to the casts and score. I loved the feel good elements of this film and hints of a screwball comedy. Interesting discussion book vs film I would consider will be The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck

This is one of my FAVORITE movies. I believe it was the only movie Charles Laughton directed, too bad. The underwater scene and the way Mitchum's stabbing 'dance' was choreographed was genius.

I want see that movie! But actually, the book of Coyote vs Acme came out in 1990, not 1980. And Who Framed Roger Rabbit Movie came out in 1988. Man, you Need get a Brain. #Boycottwbd #StandWithAnimation #FireDavidZaslav #ReleaseCoyoteVsAcme

Dr. MacDonald was a Green Beret officer in the Army, not the Air Force, which doesn't have a special force. Otherwise, great podcast episode. The Fatal Vision murder case is my favorite true crime case, just as Fatal Vision is my all time favorite true crime classic bestseller. Hopefully you can do one on Dr. Sam Sheppard, who was also convicted of killing his pregnant wife. Both Marilyn Sheppard and Collette Stevenson were Skidmore dropouts. A lot of similarities between these two cases, except that MacDonald was a high-flying genius compared to the mediocre Sheppard, who also cheated on his wife. Doctors are always tired, overworked and frequently snap. But Sheppard was not a family annihilator. MacDonald was the precursor to Scott Peterson, Chris Coleman, and Chris Watts. None of them wanted to be family men.

The most wonderful woman I know passed from cancer last year. Pancreatic cancer. I truly do not understand why such a great human with such a loving and kind heart had to go through what she went through. The world seems a bit darker knowing this and I am really sad for the lady who faked having cancer. I hope she doesn’t get it and have to live through what my dear sister friend had to. She left behind a 19 and 16 boys. I’m so sad for them. Their Mother was a unique and beautiful soul.

Ray turned states evidence and they chased steve all over the world to catch him. Fascinating story...also paul synder got the chippendale idea from dorothy who was playmate of the year. Chippendales was a furniture brand, thats where the name came from.

I think these women are lumping some men who made mistakes in with sociopathic men who prey on women, and have no conscience or empathy. They make some good points and call out some real creeps and jerks, but they are a bit extreme with their views sometimes. They do have an entertaining podcast and I like their views on music and pop culture

We don't know what we don't know. There's much more to the story of the Port Chicago explosion -- including the fact that scientists and engineers working for the Manhattan Project visited the scene to study "the effects of the detonation." They used that data to estimate the blast of an atomic bomb. The well-documented link between the Manhattan Project and the Port Chicago explosion is a bigger secret than the Port Chicago explosion and mutiny trial. The well-publicized court martial that was the largest mass trial in U.S. Naval soon and permanently upstaged the massive blast that was the largest homefront disaster of World War II. And now, hardly anyone knows that the Port Chicago explosion was part of early nuclear history.
