Just imagine how this Almaroof have woken up the historical sleeping dog. Incidentally during every controversies on this subject, all Oonis have always maintained decorum and silence. It is always people that have always come out to defend and assert the supremacy of the stool of the Ooni. Almaroof gan lomo osan to je ki won ko ponpo fi na iya re. He has now exposed what was being covered. The Alafin can never be equal to the Ooni in status. Without Oduduwa, there is no Oranmiyan. No matter how great a son is, he cannot become the father to his father. Is there any argument about the fact that Oduduwa ruled on the throne of Ife? Why are Yorubas called Omo Oduduwa and not Omo oranyan?

alaafin is superior. only alaafin signed the amalgamation treaty of nigeria being representative of the yoruba and refered to king of the yoruba in the treaty document. Google it and you will see for yourself. Where is ooni when the treaty was signed. In the treaty document there only six Nigerians that signed. Alaafin is the only yoruba. Where was ooni

@adekunleshittu9750 Yes, Alaafin had to sign the amalgamation because Alaafin caused the war. Every problem in Yoruba Land was caused by Alaafin. Emir reigning in Ilorin was caused by the war between Oyo and Ilorin cum Sokoto. So, where is the superiority of Alaafin? When the Oyo Empire could not win the war of the Fulanis, it was the warriors of Ibadan that countered the Fulanis at Oṣogbo. If you like, you can proceed, you'll get the wotowoto. Blessings!

@Esther-w4w7h how come alafin is the chairman council of obas oyo state before osun state was separated from Oyo state. The obas under oyo state then includes and ooni use to be part of the meeting until osun state was separated from oyo state before ooni was able to be the chairman.

It's quite a shame that a Yoruba son that knows the history of his ancestors will compare Onirisa with Alaafin. Check your history before and after colonialism who is and still the higher authority. But Sha ,there are much weeds among the seeds of omo ootu ojire. Some are being used willingly and some are ignorantly,distorting history and information on Yoruba culture and traditions. Ooni is the Father of Alaafin!!!

@@adekunleshittu9750 Oranmiyan the father of Alaafin was never direct Oduduwa son but Ooni Obalufon Ogbogbodirin Ooni which was initially first Alara of Ilara Mokin his name was Alara modudulua Olutipin he left his Throne as Alara modudulua to become the Ooni Obalufon Ogbogbodirin, as a result of vacancy on the supreme throne in Ile Ife, Ogbogbodirin was later added to his name because he lives more than 500 year before he turned to human stone deity,up till date we served him in Ilara Mokin as living god, he had a son Alayemore that succeed him in Ilara as Alara, Ooni Obalufon Ogbogbodirin wife gave birth to Ado in Ife. Because he was so brave and conqueror and emperor people gave him Oranmiyan that means I have succeeded in my mission, Alaafin is Ooni son.
